棕櫚海濱飯店(The Palms Oceanfront Hotel)

I was super pleased with our stay! We got a very reasonable price on our stay so I was a little nervous to see the place and I was so very happy we chose to stay here! The staff was great, the hotel was clean, and the location couldn’t have been better! The only complaint we had was the elevator took forever and was not air conditioned so we used the steps which the stairwells are also not air conditioned. They had maintenance people painting rooms and doors keeping the place looking nice so they definitely care about the look and they guests so hopefully they can help this in the near future… I looked at a crazy about of places before we booked and I read reviews on every single one so I hope to help someone else with reassurance that this is a great place to stay! 5 stars!

The property is in great area of IOP but thats where it ends. The property says there is parking but there isnt enough space under the hotel- there are 20 or so spots to park in at the hotel. Then they tell you to go park at the municipal lot across the street for 10 bucks a day but its sctually 15 on weekends. The pool was not usable for half the trip because of fecal matter and the staff looked bothered about it when you told them. The elevator didnt work for a full day when we got there maling it impossible to bring up luggage. There must be other places to stay on the island. I would stay elsewhere.

Visited during the off season to attend a gymnastics competition in North Charleston. This hotel was convenient to that venue but allowed us to have a little beach time as well. Would stay here again but would upgrade to the Oceanfront rooms.

The view from the room was terrible, and not as advertised on the website. The room was right on top of the next door restaurant, and folks could look into our room as the ate dinner. It was so bad we checked out one day earlier.

Major disapointment. Made special plans for a birthday, ended up being nothing special. The lack of pre-arrival information did not help as parking was a nightmare. Hard to call what room we had as an ocean view. More of an industrial view. Tiny room poorly appointed, nothing like the pictures. Very noisey, paper thin walls and no control over late night rowdy guest. On a one to ten, two, being kind! Staff was rude on checkin and otherwise. Non-existent. I travel extensively and expected more, not even at a cut rate level of amenity and service. Hair in the bathroom and unclean. Having not been to this part of SC before was unaware of the other options, suggest you do your homework,

It was a great stay with a great view of the ocean. Only thing i didn't like was the lack of parking space in the hotel parking lot. Only 20 spaces available for the entire hotel.

We upgraded to an ocean view which was fantastic! Some rooms only have windows looking into a small atrium directly across from other rooms. Ocean view were quite roomy. Staff is extremely helpful and met every request I had, and I had a few!

Fabulous place!! So convenient with walking with little kids to ice cream shops, beach shops and even to the beach! All right there together. I will DEFINITELY be back!!

Very noisy. rooms were adjoining with adjoining doors that were not effective in the least for blocking sounds from noisy neighbors. Halls were concrete sound tunnels.
