I'm unclear why some poor reviews. We had an excellent experience. Staff were very friendly and pleasant. Shout out to Hannah on the early morning shift. She was a gem. We arrived around 5am and she was outstanding finding us a room at that early hour even though they were full. Note: shuttle only runs after 7am, and you must call to get it. We didn't use cause so early. Uber was around $15. Great amenities including complementary breakfast everyday including premade omelets, Greek yogurt, eggs, bagels, breakfast sandwiches, waffles, drinks. All day coffee and nice fruit flavored water. Very easy free parking. Walmart, McDonalds, and other convenient establishments walking distance. Not much in terms of sight seeing, but very convenient to airport. Nice free small gym, and free pool (didn't use though looked fine). Comfortable newer rooms with kitchens including microwave, even dishwasher large fridge, and full complement of dishes, utensils. Good free wifi and AC. Overall a great experience despite being very full. Never felt rushed and staff very polite and available.
Despite the long-standing reputation that accompanies the Hilton brand, I was underwhelmed by this location and its seemingly outdated facilities, rooms, and amenities. Upon check-in, we were directed to our rooms on the back side of the building, only to see a sign asking to purchase daily parking. Whether or not that is for the travelers going to and from DFW or not, still required clarification with the front desk who seemed surprised that “free parking” is advertised online when booking. The rooms are the toughest selling point. The air-conditioning unit worked so effectively that the rooms ran very cold and humid causing damp sheets and mosquitoes to pester my every movements. In fact, the humidity and dusty vents gave my father-in-law a sinus infection. The popcorn ceilings made it appear as if I was booked in an antiquated motel. Lastly, water pressure wasn’t the greatest. Where the rooms and staff lacked, the quick access to the toll roads and the greater DFW area was a huge plus.
I am an IHG member who regrets staying at this hotel when there are so many other hotels in the area for convenient airport shuttle service. First, the cleanliness of this hotel is some of the worst I have seen in North America for any time of franchise hotel, especially under IHG. The hotel has cockroaches. There was one running through the lobby and the receptionist was unfazed and took not immediate action to take care of it. This is a tell sign that this must be a common occurrence. The elevator and hallways smell of cigarettes. They are not walking distance to anything and do not have breakfast available. The last straw was the customer service. I had to drop my rental car off earlier than I planned to check out. I called to notify the receptionist I was pulling up to the pick up location. She was clearly not listening because she kept asking what direction did you turn when you left the airport. I kept saying I was coming from the car rental location and going to one of the pick up spots she told me to go to. When I missed the first shuttle they called and notified me the guy already left and could not find me. I said I was waiting and they said he was coming but he never came. I had to get on a different hotel shuttle and then walked to the hotel. Then when I needed to check out and take the shuttle to the airport for my flight, I came down requesting an airport shuttle service expecting a wait. I was told it would be 15 minute wait, which I waited in the lobby standing up facing the reception desk while continuing to work. While standing, clearly visible to the receptionist and manager asked if I reserved a shuttle? I was confused because I just reserved one with the same people. They replied saying the driver already came and left and the next shuttle would not be for another hour. I was shocked and asked why I was not informed while by anyone. They just kept repeating he came in and said shuttle. When I asked why the receptionist that was standing at the desk the entire time did not try to get my attention. The second receptionist says she didn't hear it. So clearly, it was possible for someone standing in the lobby could've missed hearing the shuttle driver. During all of this another customer came in and I stayed quiet about my complaints. I asked if I could talk to the manager, I found out the person at the desk was the manager. There was nothing he could do. He did not say sorry. He offered no way to help. He continued to blame me. I felt completely disrespected. The funniest thing is that the manager is providing terrible customer service while standing next to a stand that says we care about your stay. Please think twice before booking this even if it is the cheaper option and you will be there for one night. You can find better or at least cleaner!
We booked this room through ***********. Due to flight delays and rescheduling beyond our control we showed up at 1am to check in to the hotel only to be waved off through a locked door by the employees saying they had no rooms available. Mind you, our card was already charged for the entire amount of the room. They over booked/sold the hotel and wouldn't even come to the door to explain this to our face. Only when they saw we weren't going to leave without someone speaking to us did they very rudely and begrudgingly come to the door to let us know that even though we paid for the room there was none available. And because we booked through a 3rd party we have to try and get our money back from them. Now, it's been 2 weeks and we still have no refund. If YOUR hotel decides to do business and offer YOUR rooms for rent to a 3rd party and the both of you can't get the availability correct then that is YOUR problem and not the customers. BTW, in the future maybe you dont handle these types of issues by giving the ”kill” gesture to 2 customers knocking on your locked lobby door while you sit at a desk on the computer pretending not to see or hear them.
DDesmond DClean hotel , very reasonable price , location was great. Check in was a breeze , the quality of the bed and room overall was more than expected. It was really hot outside for the time I decided to travel , the cool breeze of the ac and the blacked out room curtains help me get the much needed rest on my trip
