Good size room, could do more with maintenance of place, especially with the cleaning of the room, nice breakfast, like the bar area as well, nice selection of drinks, good swimming pool and sauna. Great location no far from the city centre. This place with a modern decoration and cleanliness can go up to a 5 star. Lovely staff, always ready to help you to get what you need. Definitely will be back again and will bring my kids too.

The room is old dated. Lack of attention very old stained furniture. The toilet was dirty. Asked to be cleaned to come back and all they did was give me clean towels. Bed sheets full of hairs. Which they changed after I asked to be changed. They did not vacuum the room. Carpets all over the room was old and stained/ dirty. Breakfast was lacking on choices and restaurant carpets dirty seats old with stains. So not pleasant to eat there. The highlight of this stay was the swimming pool facility. Really lovely big and nice.

Very nice hotel, great atmosphere and splendid facilities. Would definitely recommend.

The hotel is just on the outskirts of Ipswich. The staff are very welcoming, and extremely helpful. The rooms are of a good size and very clean. The housekeeping staff cleaned our room every morning after we had gone out, which was excellent. The restaurant food is of a very high standard and there is a good choice including vegetarian options. In the bar area where it is of a relaxed nature, you can order food from the bar menu or the restaurant menu. Either way, nothing is ever too much trouble. The swimming pool, sauna and steam room are a must. My husband used the gym which was of an average size and then would come down to the pool area for a jacuzzi. Although they have the spa treatment available, I can't really comment as I didn't use the facility. If you want a relaxing time or want to visit the seaside, Felixstowe is only a 30minute drive away. There are also many National Trust houses to visit. This the second time we have been to the Belstead Hotel and I can honestly say we will be visiting it again.

The food was great. Spa facilities very good. Would stay here again for sure

No fresh bedding

Was very pleasantly surprised at the upgraded rooms and reception areas in comparison with a few years ago when we were last there. Our Club Room was very nice. Breakfast was not great, with lukewarm food but the one issue we had was that we had been advised the the bar extension was until midnight, due to the number we had staying that night, only to be asked for last orders at 23.10 and shortly afterwards was asked to vacate the area as they wanted to shampoo the carpets! Was a great stay inspite of the above 👌

Unfortunately the stars aren't lighting up as I click on them The hotel is excellent, clean, pleasant and caring staff giving great service. Located in a quiet area but handy for the main roads. excellent facilities including spa area with swimming pool and gym. Only minor drawback was the rowdy late arrival back by another group of guests from a wedding who set up the closing sequence from an episode of the Waltons shouting their goodnights!
