Farmhouse on 5 secluded acres, surrounded by over 1400 acres of privately owned land. The only neighbors you will see are the cows or horses that may wander by. Only a 30 min drive to Chattanooga and all the city has to offer. The screened back porch features a dining table and views of the property. Deer, turkey and an abundance of birds frequently visit the backyard. Roast marshmallows in the firepit and look at the stars away from city light pollution. The large yard has plenty of room to throw a baseball or play football. Cloudland Canyon, Pigeon Mountain are both close by with hiking trails and waterfalls for you to enjoy. McLemore Golf Course, with the best finishing hole in America is a short 20 min drive up lookout mountain. The interior of the home has been renovated with guest comfort and convenience in mind. Both bathrooms feature walk in showers. The kitchen is well stocked with everything needed to cook a large meal or make a nice cup of coffee. High speed WiFi is available to stream of all your devices. The large screen TV in the living room allows all seats to enjoy the show. Private tours of the neighboring farm can be arranged for little ones (or those young at heart) to see horses, cows, goats and chickens up close. Full of treasures in honor of magical friends and the wizarding world!It consists of one long unit, composed of two spaces. The front half of the unit houses the living room and kitchen area with a foldout queen size sofa bed. The back half has two twin beds in a dorm room style setting, as well as a bathroom. This beautiful, recently renovated, fairy-tale cottage is located in Chickamauga, GA, near the National Battlefield and convenient to Chattanooga, TN. Located in a charming small town, with boutique shops and several great places to eat, it is also only 12 miles (or 25 minutes) to downtown Chattanooga, where you can enjoy many family/tourist activities (including Rock City and Ruby Falls!) and FABULOUS restaurants! The cottage can sleep several, and is great for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.The spaceThis is truly a storybook/fairy-tale cottage and decorated with loving attention to detail! It even has a spinning wheel!It has a small kitchen, small dining area , 2 nice decks and a front porch, and a campfire pit . It has a bedroom downstairs with a full bed, a fold out bed in the, living room with flat screen tv w/cable, luxurious bathroom with vintage claw-foot tub and separate shower, upstairs has a bedroom with 2 twin beds and a 1/2 bath across the hall from the another bedroom that has 2 full-size , built in captain beds. The stairs going upstairs are a bit steep, but good handrails and a gate (that latches) at the top.Guest accesscottage - with fire pit If the barn isn't occupied/rented, you are welcome to walk down to the renovated, event barn and visit the goats and miniature horse.Interaction with guestsSomeone from our family is always around our 40 acre farm adjacent to the cottage property. We put precious items inside to share with you during your stay and ask that you are careful with all of the treasures. We do welcome well-behaved children and are so glad for them to visit this magical place, and they LOVE the cottage, but be aware there are items that are very tempting to little ones that aren’t to be played with, so you may have to move some things out of harm’s way if needed!
