邁爾宅邸民宿(Mansion on the Mile B&B)

Had an amazing time staying here. Tom was an incredible host and even went out of his way to prepare the space for me with extremely short notice for a last minute business trip when the rest of downtown was fully booked. Tom was an absolute life safer and made sure my stay was as comfortable as possible.

Well located in the historic district, the Mansion is a beautifully restored 1890’s home. The innkeepers Jeannie and Tom are delightful and full of stories about their home and their very remarkable lives. The home is filled with many books and antiques. I would suggest giving the guests some space for their own items as there was no place for me to put my facial items or makeup in our bedroom. Also suggest some lamps as the room only had ceiling fan lights- too bright. Our room facing a busy road was noisy all night making sleeping difficult. Maybe a good idea is to reverse the sitting room and bedroom? Our breakfast was outstanding- truly gourmet and accomplished by Jeanie’s piano playing. The outside area could be amazing if instead of a concrete parking lot, artificial turf was installed; also a bush fence lining to make it more intimate. We enjoyed our visit to Indianapolis and staying in an historic B&B enhanced our experience.
