石湯飯店(Stone Soup Inn)

They contacted us to know at what time we would arrive. We have them the hour and when we arrived no one was here, the door was closed and no one inside. We rang at the door but still no answer. We knocked and same : no answer. There was 3 numbers at the door to contact them but as I come from France my phone couldn’t call an American number so no way to contact them by phone. I rang again and again waiting for 20 minutes on the porch with my luggage and still no one. We were desperate. We paid for a room, we gave them the time of our arrival they said it was ok, but still we were outside very tired and angry. This is a shame. We had to find another hotel to be able to sleep. I sent them an email to tell them that it was a shame and they said that we didn’t come !!!! That we probably went at the wrong address !!!! When you make a mistake apologize instead of being mean and a liar. We were at the right address with the name on it, we saw by the window what was inside and even tried to open the door at the right side of the house and opened the first door at the front to knock on the second one. Such a shame I’m traveling since almost 30 years and it never happened. They are non competent, and even worse they are mean and irresponsible !!! Letting two women at night outside and not taking their responsibilities. Shame on you. Gonna contact ******* as soon as I return home to explain this awful experience.

Isn’t it called a B&B for a reason? We stayed 2 nights and both mornings the employee in charge of serving breakfast was awful! No greeting, annoyed, and removing juices and food from the table less than 30 mins into a 90 min serving time. Another guest arrived, asked for a plate and food and this employee was annoyed, and didn’t even wipe down the place where a guest had just eaten. Just impatiently put down a plate and silverware. We complained to the inn keeper when we checked our. Our room was the Garden room, which was ok, but damp. It’s the basement and there should be a dehumidifier. Will never go back!

This was our first time here. Everything and everyone was lovely. It’s a beautiful property and lose to so many things in Indy.

The house is absolutely gorgeous and the staff is warm and inviting. The neighborhood is charming. However, the breakfast, though beautifully staged, was no better than a continental breakfast at a budget hotel.

This is a beautiful old home that allows the visitor to take a step back into history. The staff works double-time to make sure you live your stay. They succeeded.

We were both so pleased with our stay. The people were very friendly and helpful. We absolutely loved the history of the inn and just loved the blue room. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to everyone.

Liked: Water/ice machine, entire butler's pantry. Staff was amazing and kind. House was rich with detail. Plenty of room for playing board games, or resting on the patio outside. 2 complaints: Please oil door hinges. The house makes enough noises as it is. Also, the lack of homemade breakfast was disappointing since the property is billed as a "B&B". There was a "continental" breakfast with no protein...only carbs & sugar.

A great find for a couples weekend away. Within walking distance to Old National Centre where a lot of concerts are held. Friendly, inviting and efficient staff.
