卡羅拉旅館(Carola Lodge)

Buena ubicación, habitación limpia y una agradable piscina son los puntos fuertes de este alojamiento. Lo negativo es que las habitaciones no tienen aire acondicionado y que no aceptan tarjetas de crédito para realizar el pago. En nuestro caso habíamos decidido hospedarnos aquí porque en la plataforma donde hicimos la reserva decía que tenía aire acondicionado pero al entrar a la habitación pudimos observar que no era así. Al mostrar nuestra reserva en recepción nos informaron que debía trat**** de un error de la plataforma pues ellos no cuentan con aire acondicionado en ninguna de sus habitaciones. Tampoco tienen frigobar y el desayuno es muy básico para la tarifa. La relación calidad/precio no es buena, no volvería a hospedarme en este lugar.

Wifi lento y con poca cobertura en habitaciones superiores. Habitación muy básica, no hay A/C, solo un ventilador de pie, camas duras, cerradura principal básica e insegura. Ventana con cortinas deja pasar mucha luz, ventana pequeña encima de puerta permite ver pisos superiores y por ende desde ahí pueden ver al interior, poca privacidad. Solo aceptan pago en efectivo en la recepción del hotel, ninguna tarjeta de crédito, solamente en el e bar restaurante acetona tarjeta.

Nuestra estadía de 3 días en Carola Lodge supero todas nuestras expectativas! La ubicación era inigualable, ubicada a media cuadra de la laguna. Las habitaciones super amplias, cómodas y limpias, con una vista hermosa a la pileta, palmeras y una enorme duna. La atención del personal fue excelente desde el primer momento. Comimos en el restaurante 3 o 4 veces porque tenía excelentes platos y a buenos precios, comparado con el resto de restaurantes en Huacachina (que no hay muchos). Volveríamos a alojarnos aquí, 100% recomendado.

Por el apuro tuvimos que alojarnos aquí. Fuimos un grupo de 3, nos dieron habitación con una cama y un camarote que estaba en pésimas condiciones, se movía y parecía que se iba a caer en cualquier momento, para el precio mal servicio.

The Wild Rover might attract moat tourists but this place should be heavily considered instead. It's cheaper, more open space and the benefits are so much more. Besides, you can just walk the 100 meters or so down the street to join the free-for-all Wild Rover party anyways. Here at Carola you will get personable, loving service on a scale I didn't think possible. I lost my credit card during my stay and through talking with hotel owner Coco, who typically is around, I could borrow several hundred Soles as well as get a special discount on my dorm room. I would even say Coco, Chakra (chef), the bartenders and some receptionists became my friends. They were genuinely interested in my life and helping me. The pool is nice. The rooms have fans. Unlimited supply of shampoo, toilet paper and fresh towels. Besides whole Huacachinas sandboarding/buggy tours typically leave just outside Carola where you of course can book in reception of Carola. The food is varied and okay. Drinks are delicious. At this place you will both meet a lot of locals and tourists. It's a typical place for Peruhop guests. One night there even was a DJ accompanied with live saxophonist. Oh and the view of the magnificiently towering sand dune right next to it really makes for a great morning! Carola Lodge is a strikingly beautiful hotel within the Huacachina Oasis. The rooms are basic, yet spacious and the staff is truly helpful and outgoing while the hotel has a restaurant and a mini market to pick up sodas as well as a very relaxed vibe!

We stayed here for one night while sandboarding at Huacachina. It met our needs for the night and was clean. The staff was very nice--went out of their way to accommodate our late check-in and early check-out. It's not luxurious or anything, but it was great for us for the night. Also, the pool looked lovely but I had forgotten my suit. :(

We stayed in Carola Lodge for six nights, and are left with mixed impressions. The property partly looks like it’s still under heavy construction, partly looks like it’s been long forgotten (one whole pool area is not in use, looks dirty and is full of trash), and has a lot of cheap solutions. We did get a good discount on the price because we did not have warm water in the shower one single day while we stayed there. The breakfast is basic and quite boring if you stay several days, but definitely better than no breakfast. The staff allowed guests to play their own extremely loud music by the pool, meaning there at one point were three groups of people with loudspeakers playing music in addition to the music being played by the restaurant. When we asked the staff if they could ask the guests to turn down/off their music (since it did not help that we asked them directly), they shrugged and said they cannot do anything about it because people come there to have fun. Being considerate towards other guests who wish to relax by the pool during daytime (and not have four parallel reggeaton parties) is apparantly not a thing here. In the reception they did not accept credit cards, while in the restaurant they did. Not sure why. On the positive side the staff was friendly and the discount we got on the price made it worth staying there.

We stayed a night at Carola Lodge. The sink in the bathroom was filthy. The floor was full of hair. It was noisy and the WATER drip-dripped from the shower. Everything was just not right in that place.
