What a beautiful and unique boutique hotel! Loved bringing my Travellingguy group here and between the friendly and super efficient staff and the delightfully designed and furnished rooms…. I cannot say a bad word! I look forward to bringing my next guests here as well .

My stay at Mbano was wonderful. The staff were attentive, caring, and kind. Mbano is black- female owned, getting the chance to speak with Dr. Matifadza Nyazema was inspiring. The turn down and ‘turn up’ services of the room were seamless. Special shout out to Praise and Helena for their flawless work. They offer delicious fine dining, with produce stocked from their beautiful garden on site. The location is a short drive to Victoria Falls, one of the seven wonders of nature. Due to the campus being a luxury outdoor oasis, there were many bugs outdoors. Mbano prepared for it. They supply bug spray/lotion that works well to keep them away. Inside the villa, bugs were minimal. I recommend keeping the large doors closed at all times. Thank you Mbano I will be back.

Exceptional! Service, food, suite… all 5* and then some. There are quite a few lodges in the surrounding area but most are quite “built up” with less greenery/ gardens. Mbano feels like you’re in the bush and surrounded by nature. Food was fresh, tasty and made with quality ingredients. It’s a limited menu so after day 4 got a bit “samey” but consistently high quality. The room was of very high spec with perfect finishes. Everything worked and highly convenient. Room was an excellent size with a substantial outside seating area. Staff were very friendly whether it was reception, restaurant, housekeeping, etc. You will need a car to get around once you leave the property and Victoria Falls is 10-15 minutes. Same to the airport.

We stayed at the hotel for 4 days, the staff were very helpful and friendly. The restaurant was excellent, and the Chefs (John) recommendations suited our taste. They were happy to make dishes not on the menu, and it was all cooked to perfection. The rooms were spacious, and everything felt quality. The complementary shuttle bus to the villsge and falls worked brilliantly. We were very happy with our stay.

Spent three nights at this luxury boutique hotel. It is five minutes drive outside of Victoria Falls - far enough to be secluded from any passersby but close to drive to the amazing Victoria Falls and Zambezi river. The hotel has only 18 rooms, so you are definitely made to feel special and all staff pay attention to your comfort. The rooms are very large, with individual outdoor decks, large bathrooms with stand-alone tubs, and a large walk-in closet. The best parts of this hotel are the staff - they are professional yet kind - and the food that is served in the restaurant. We (two couples) ate 3 meals a day at the hotel during our 3 day stay and everything that came out of the kitchen was different and delicious. I highly recommend the food. When I complimented the chef on his scones, he offered me his recipe! Also loved the gift shop which sold items made entirely by local artisans. We felt comfortable knowing that our money was going directly back into the local economy.

I enjoyed my stay here although it was brief it was nice nonetheless. The staff was very kind. The location is perfect for your arrival in Zimbabwe. I would have my clients stay a few nights here to enjoy the property's tranquility. The accommodations were very well thought out. The attention to detail was greatly appreciated, from the individual icemaker in the room to the proper amount of storage. I was not able to get hot water in my sink but the shower was ok. I would have appreciated a larger breakfast menu with a few more choices. Great location. Having met the owner was also a great opportunity. My agency supports female-owned businesses. I look forward to coming back in the near future as well as booking my clients here.
