豪特和阿包特旅館(Hout & about Guest House)

Wat een schitterende locatie. Ideaal gelegen om alle uitstappen te doen in de regio. Wij verbleven hier 5 nachten en Thomas hielp ons met het uitstippelen van de activiteiten en gaf ons zeer waardevolle tips. Het personeel is uiterst vriendelijk. De kamers was ruim en mooi ingericht. Het ontbijt was zéér lekker. Wij kunnen deze plek zeker aanbevelen ! Magnifiek !

Magnifique vue pour les petits déjeuners, on ne peut rêver mieux. L'emplacement dans Houtbay est idéal. l'accueil, le site impeccable. Le salon et la cuisine salle a manger ne dont qu'une même grande pièce superbe. les petits déjeuners de Thomas sont uniques. Les chambres sont certes de petite taille mais très agréable et fonctionnelle.. Il manque un peu de rangement quand on s'y installe une semaine, mais c'est un détail. nous avons passé une très bonne semaine ici et je recommande.

Einfaches B&B mit tollem Frühstück und fantastischer Aussicht. Bei der Buchung der Zimmer sollte man darauf achten eins der größeren Räume zu buchen, da es auch kleine Zimmer gab, die für uns deutlich zu klein gewesen wären. Das Zimmer mit King Size Bett war für uns super. Thomas, Alice und das Team Monty und Fanny waren stets bemüht hilfsbereit aber zurückhaltend zu sein. Im Höut und About gibt es auch ein Wellness Spa, bei dem kostengünstig Beauty Trestments und Massagen angeboten werden. Uns hat es an wirklich nichts gefehlt und wer dem Stadttroubel ein wenig entkommen will ist bestens beraten hier unterzukommen. Um eine noch bessere Erfahrung zu haben, wäre es toll wenn der Gemeinschaftsraum z.B. noch bis Mitternacht genutzt werden könnte und wenn es liegen am Pool zum Sonnen geben würde. Zur Stromverfügbarkeit beim Load Shedding und zur fehlenden Klimaanlage kann ich nichts sagen, da wir hiermit an den 4 Tagen, an denen wir da waren, keine Probleme hatten.

Mooie locatie, grote kamer, super ontbijt en vriendelijk personeel. Het enige minpunt wat ik zou kunnen bedenken is het zwembad. Deze voldoet maar er is weinig ruimte om te zitten/liggen en de badkamer is vergeleken met de kamer krap maat voldoet

A must-see! A perfect situation to discover Cape Town and its surroundings (Cape of Good Hope, Boulders Beach, Stellenbosch, Table Mountain, Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, among others). You are just half an hour away from all these must-see spots. Very beautiful rooms, tastefully decorated, well-sized, very clean, and with good bedding. The staff is very attentive, very available, and responsive to all your questions. Special mention for Fanny and her "daily specials" at breakfast: a delight for the eyes and the taste buds. Moreover, the breakfast is very plentiful and excellent. If you can, don't hesitate to have it outside with the lovely view of Hout Bay.

We spent 2 nights at Hout and about in hout bay and everything was a pleasure. Right from the beginning communication was excellent from Thomas regarding our stay. On arrival met by Monty the manager who was so welcoming into the property! beautiful spacious living area for guests to sit and take in the fabulous view of hout bay! The accommodation was by the pool nicely decorated comfortable beds Lovely ambiance around the property breakfast was amazing with a daily special cooked fresh to order. Freshly chopped fruit yoghurts all beautifully presented. Even a spa on the premise's which we booked a his and hers massage Excellent would definately recommend and will hope to return next year.

We wanted a quieter base to explore Cape Town and the surrounds rather than staying in Cape Town and this fitted the bill perfectly. The bus stop for the hop on hop off is at the end of the road down the hill but you need a car really for getting out and about. This guest house is the right side of CT for visiting the Cape of Good Hope and Table mountain. Hout bay is beautiful lots of lovely restaurants and felt very safe. Comfortable rooms and the Guest house has an amazing breakfast/living room with fabulous views. Breakfasts were outstanding and Thomas is a chef and cooks specials. There is a small plunge pool. Only minor things could have done with some sunbeds around the pool and the bath rooms are a little small if you like a massive bathroom. Didn't bother us. Thomas really helpful in suggesting routes to take and tips for visiting places.

We stayed at Hout & About Guest House for 3 nights. The hospitality and welcome we received was outstanding. From booking and corresponding on whats app to confirm arrival etc Thomas was 'over and above'. We stayed in a couple of the rooms due to my mixed up booking, but regardless Thomas did everything to accommodate our arrival. There is a room for every budget and travellers needs. Beds are very comfy and sparkling clean. Each room has a fridge (great for those wines purchased at wine tasting) and a safe (although Hout Bay feels super relaxed away from the hustle and bustle of the Waterfront and along the coast line). Breakfasts are exceptional, prepared fresh and each day there is a breakfast special. Thomas does the cooking and he is well supported by a delightful team. Thomas is a font of local knowledge and sent us out and about on some great trips, making recommendations for places to visit and eat (all of which were fabulous). His wife, Alice, has opened a spa in the premises which offers great treatments. A great plus. There are nice lounging areas to sit around and soak up the African sun under shade. We never popped our toes in the pool, although we would have liked to. Well positioned in an easy to find street and very quiet and with views that were outstanding, we loved, loved, loved our stay and cannot wait to return. Thomas and Alice thank you to you both and to your wonderful team for helping us to create many happy memories.
