復達奧爾塔飯店(Pousada Forte da Horta – Historic Hotel)

O quarto tem fraca ventilação natural , há sempre um odor a mofo . Devem fazer algumas reformulações de forma a resolver este problema . Também em termos de serviço de pequeno almoço devem usar nas mesas toalhas e não servir o pequeno almoço nas mesas de vidro diretamente

Já tenho ficado hospedado neste hotel e fui sempre muito bem acolhido. Desta vez não foi excepção correu tudo lindamente e ainda fizeram-me a mudança para um quarto com vista e varanda onde pude desfrutar do licor de funcho e da fofa que deixaram no quarto. Mais uma vez Parabéns por me fazerem sentir mais do que em casa.

Dia inesquecível o do nosso casamento. Só possível pelo envolvimento de toda a equipa da pousada liderada pelo Sérgio Dias que, desde o primeiro dia, mostrou todo o entusiasmo e gosto em nos proporcionar o dia mais feliz das nossas vidas. Nada falhou! A pousada é de facto encantadora e a vista para o Pico soberba!!! Obrigado a todos, 1 abraço Sónia e Paulo

Experiência incrível. Realizamos o nosso casamento na Pousada e só temos pontos positivos a partilhar. O staff foi sempre 5 estrelas, sempre disponível em ajudar e empenhado em ultrapassar imprevistos. Caso para dizer não existem problemas, apenas soluções. A estadia foi muito boa proporcionando uma excelente experiência a todos os convidados. O pequeno almoço é maravilhoso, com vários produtos locais de qualidade. A Comida servida no evento estava excelente (parabéns à cozinha). Da nossa parte só temos de agradecer a todo o staff e em especial ao Sergio por toda a ajuda e empenho em tornar um dia memorável e uma experiência inesquecível. Hôtel dans le fort historique, excellent emplacement avec vue sur le volcan Pico et au centre du port d’Horta (a quelques pas de peter’s café), chambre confortable et très bons dîners (recommandation pour le poulpe). Personnel accueillant et à votre service. Une très grande piscine.

Die Lage ist top. Zentraler geht es nicht. Das ganze Dorf kann bequem zu Fuss erkundet werden. Die Zimmer sind zum alten Hafen ausgerichtet und zur Nachbarsinsel Pico. Der Ausblick wunderschön. Damit ist auch schon Schluss! In den Zimmern im 1. Stock hört man das Husten an der Rezeption. Wir hatten Glück mit unseren Zimmernachbarn und verbrachten eine ruhige Woche. Die Zimmer sind klein und die Vorhänge hängen herunter. Im Badezimmer rinnt der Wasserhahn und in der Dusche fällt einem das Einseifen aufgrund der geringen Grösse der Duschkabine schwer. Die Betten sind altmodisch mit Leintücher und einer schweren Häkeldecke bezogen. In kalten Nächten steht eine staubige Wolldecke als Wärmelieferant zur Verfügung. Auch sonst ist im Gebäude alles in die Jahre gekommen. Das Holz ist fettig und abgenutzt und die Fenster lassen sich nicht mehr richtig reinigen. Der Zimmerservice wurde lausig erledigt. Dreimal fanden wir unsere Zimmertüre und Balkonfenster offen vor - und dann waren doch plötzlich zwei paar Damensocken verschwunden. Die von meinem Mann wurden keines Blickes gewürdigt...komisch. Das Socken-Mysterium hat sich dann auf meine Reklamation hin aufgelöst. Gefunden wurden sie schön säuberlich im Wäschekorb zwischen den Leintüchern. Das i-Tüpfelchen war jedoch am nächsten Tag: da lagen doch tatsächlich ein paar fremde Socken auf unserem Bett. Welchem Gast diese wohl gehört haben... An der Rezeption wurde auf den Vorfall nur mit der Schulter gezuckt. Auch das Personal im Frühstücksraum brachten die Lippen nicht auseinander. Die Auswahl am Buffet war standartmässig und nicht besonders erwähnenswert. Der Kaffee aus der Maschine war scheusslich. Obwohl es vor der Pousada eine Reihe Parkplätze hat, stehen den Gästen keine eigenen Parkplätze zur Verfügung. Die wenigen die es hat, werden von den Angestellten selbst benutzt. Fazit: Eine einstmals luxuriöse Pousada die in die Jahre gekommen ist und nur noch mit ihrer Geschichte glänzen kann. Wir würden nicht mehr dorthin gehen.

Stayed here for 4 nights and were taken aback by the fact that during our stay the dining room was shut in the evenings. We were advised we could have lunch but we were on a walking holiday and out all day. We were further disappointed by the news that on the Saturday breakfast had to be taken in our rooms due to wedding preparations which seem to take over all the hotel. Initially we were advised that we would have a list of breakfast items to chose from and we could have use of the pool. However come the breakfast it was a basic bread roll, pastry and cake breakfast and coffee was black. Milk and fruit were eventually provided when I requested them. If the pool was really open we would have had to have swum in front of all the wedding guests who were sat at the tables for hours. It was clear that the staff on reception were not giving us the full story and there seemed very few non wedding guests in the hotel. We were very annoyed about this as it was our 40th wedding anniversary that day. It was also awkward when we came back to our room mid morning in our walking gear to come across the bride and her father in the corridor outside our room sorting out her train before going to the chapel which was directly infront of our balcony. We were given a complimentary bottle of wine and cheese board late that evening as a goodwill gesture but only after constant complaining on my part. On a positive note normal breakfasts were outstanding and could be eaten poolside looking across to Pico. Our room was beautiful as was the rest of the hotel.

Worse than Fawlty towers! Ok if you don’t want anything to eat or drink and you love mosquitos! I am staying here for 4 nights. To my horror tonight we are unable to get anything to eat or drink. I asked for hot water more than an hour ago and it hasn’t come. (Update it just arrived - 83 minutes to get a teapot full of hot water. No teabags though). The restaurant is full even to residents (even though it doesn’t look full and our friends have a table that we can join). They can’t do room service as it will take ‘hours’ and we have to wait until all the restaurant guests have been served. They do not provide a kettle in the room and neither can they find one for me. To make matters worse my room is above the restaurant so I can here the loud noise of people eating and drinking. The town seems to be closed tonight so we haven’t been able to find anywhere else to eat or a supermarket to buy supplies so are retiring to bed hungry and thirsty. This is somewhat unexpected from Pestana hotels. Despite the lovely view from the room I would not recommend staying here as apart from the food problem I got badly bitten by mosquitos last night and they obviously haven’t bothered to spray the room as there are three on the ceiling.

L' hotel ha un'atmosfera molto piacevole di stile tradizionale. La stanza era accogliente, finalmene dotata di un amadio capiente e con una bellissima vista sul porto. Le colazioni erano di soddisfazione e le cene... beh, dopo aver provato il ristorante ci siamo tornati anche le altre due sere del nostro soggiono Il personale si è sempre dimostrato gentile, disponibile ed attento alle nostre esigenze. Assolutamente consigliato.
