斯普林菲爾德之家飯店(Springfield House - Birmingham Airport & NEC)

Booked this B & B as had a funeral nearby. Booked in advance and had difficulty with website. Contacted owner and communicated via WhatsApp. Should have trusted my instincts, as felt replies were unfriendly and penny pinching. Owner sent bank details and asked me to transfer funds to secure… big mistake as this was now not a credit card transaction which could be reclaimed if I had issues. Sadly I contracted Covid and responsibly advised owner. Said I would need to cancel the room. Owner acknowledged cancellation. I immediately asked if I could have full or part refund. Owner came back immediately and said no. I immediately replied saying my husband would use the room then (as he was well and still attending funeral). Owner immediately replied to my message saying it was too late, they’d already re-advertised the room! All these exchanges were in a 1/2 hour period. So I paid £177.56 (very weird price) for a suite which the owners refused to refund or allow me to use. Robbery!!!! Unbelievable. Read other low rating reviews… and do yourself a favour and stay elsewhere, these owners do not deserve your business!

Excellent stay. Lovely Breakfast. Room was lovely, very clean facilities and everything you needed. Beds were very comfy too. Service was excellent too. Owners very helpful and friendly. No complaints at all/

c'est un très bel hôtel charmant très confortable, très propre et tranquille. Nous sommes français et nous avons été bien accueillis.Les propriétaires sont très chaleureux et accueillant. Le petit déjeuner est excellent, j'ai très bien dormi et c'est vraiment le lieu idéal pas loin de l'aéroport. Merci beaucoup et je recommande ce petit lieu charmant

My sister and I stayed here whilst attending a concert at the NEC. Absolute gem of a place. Lovely period house, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Breakfast is ordered by filling in a sheet, the evening before and offers plenty of choice. We had a cooked breakfast which delicious. The food was quality produce , hot, well cooked and served a few moments after we arrived in the breakfast room at our chosen time. The host James and Hansel are lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend Springfield House as a place to stay if you’re in the area.

The room was charming! Clean, tidy, quiet and comfortable. Great location, with lots of places to eat nearby and close to public transport. And to top it off, James and Hansel really know how to look after their guests. I recommend Springfield House to anyone needing to stay anywhere in or around Coleshill, UK.

A group of 5 of us stayed for one night as we were attending Crufts at the NEC. Our host was welcoming and accommodating as we arrived, recommending where to go to eat that evening. We were all shown to our rooms (3 in total), all of which were clean and comfy and given a preorder sheet to fill in for breakfast the next morning for a time that suited us. The beds were comfy and we all got a great night sleep before our next busy day. When we came down for breakfast our tea and cereal was already set out on the table and there wasn’t a long wait for the hot food. All of our plates went back empty and it set us up well for the rest of our day. We would definitely recommend staying here if visiting the NEC or nearby. Our car was safely off the road for the evening and it was a good distance from the NEC.

We wanted to stay somewhere near the NEC and Springfield was a great find. A very warm welcome and the cleanest B&B I have ever stayed in. Perfect location close to lots of pubs and restaurants. So much better value than the resort hotel we stayed in last year for the same event! Would have no hesitation in recommending or returning.
