I am currently on the phone with corporate because I can not believe how myself, my fiancé and our guest have been treated leading up to our wedding on June 23, 2023. I booked this hotel in August of 2023 because it was the only hotel that had a shuttle included in the room block for our upcoming wedding. Since then my experience has been a complete nightmare. The manager on site stopped responding to my emails as soon as I signed the contract. I could not get a single response, not even to ask if there was a restaurant on site. After months of no responses to my calls or emails, I finally emailed and said “please have the human decency to at least respond and acknowledge that your received my emails. Finally, Sam, the manager responded. He was non-apologetic about his non-existent communication. But did “seem” to try to rectify our concerns and fix our problems. Sadly this would be one of the last times “Sam” responded to any of our outreach. Fast forward to the week of our wedding, we still couldn’t get confirmation on our shuttle bus until I called 5 times in a row and basically demanding that someone get back to me. Now the new problem is that some of my guest were told they could not book on our room block. Now I understand when someone books after the cut-off date, But this was not the issue with all of my guest. Not even myself and the bride to be could get on our own wedding block! Finally a nice Gentleman called me back named Govin and claimed to be the “boss”. He said there is nothing that can be done because “it’s the computer that does it”. I asked to speak to his supervisor and he said that “all of us are employees, we have no boss”. My guest also called the hotel to make sure everything was set to go and they were greeted with extremely rude customer service. One of my guest even suggested that I cancel all rooms for my wedding. I wish I could, my wedding is this Friday and the holiday inn in hazlet has made a memory I won’t be able to forget. Ps. I even called a local restaurant today to book Saturday morning breakfast for my guest and they said “that place (holiday inn) is terrible. They are rude and I have never met a satisfied guest from that place. I’m sorry you booked there”. That is the kind of business they are running. I also called corporate to see what could be done and was hung up on. I know Holiday Inn won’t reply to this, but I hope I save someone from the willful stupidity this establishment promotes to basically scam their customers.
