阿諾特遠足探險旅舍(Arnott's Lodge & Hiking Adventures)

The facility was clean and quiet. It is in a nice neighborhood within close driving distance to all of the Hilo attractions. The desk person had helpful suggestions for local restaurants and activities. My wife and I stayed for a weekend, and recommend Arnott's. It's a great pace for under $200 per night.

An amazing sitting area to have my coffee and listen to the birds wake up and the waves crashing. It doesn't have an ocean view but it's about 500 feet from an ocean view. The location to two awesome beach parks can't be beat! It's only a few minutes walk to either of them, one in each direction. Plus other parks are within a few minutes drive. About 10 minutes to airport, Walmart, farmer's market, pretty much anything downtown. There was lots of information (books, pamphelets, magazines) provided about local attractions. The host was very friendly and I had a very relaxing stay. I've already recommened this place to family who are looking to visit Hilo soon.

The location was perfect as we enjoyed the access to ocean. Facilities are obviously run down and dated a bit and could use some updating however they met our expectation and price level. The common TV and living area could use cleaner and more comfortable furniture but was very nice to relax and enjoy Netflix. I would recommend this property and also book again.

I booked a night here since it was close to the airport and our accommodations for the trip were far and we we’re arriving very late. I called ahead let them know of our late arrival. Turns out our flight was delayed twice making our arrival even later. Arriving into Hilo at 0130 was not the easiest. We couldn’t get a Lyft, Uber, or taxi. A whole plane of people were trying to use 3 car shares at the same time. Mr Arnott went above and beyond helping out a single mom with 2 kids Stuck at the airport at 2am. I’m so thankful we booked here and the lodge was perfect. Cute little lodge right near the water, comfortable bed, and hot shower. Thank you again so much for being amazing to us!!!

5 star experience. We stayed 7 nights. The staff was so helpful before we arrived with helping us with our questions to our last day. It was very clean and the room had plenty of space, and the shared kitchen was an added bonus. Would definitely stay here again.

The description of this place is very misleading. Basically you are renting a bedroom in a house with shared facilities. That is fine if that is what you want or the price reflected that. I had to go back and check the ad thinking I made the mistake...nope. Check in was adequate but not welcoming.. Rooms are dated and bare bones but clean enough.

Did not realize our deluxe room had shared kitchen, living room area. Room was very small and shared a wall with the kitchen. We could hear it anytime someone opened any cabinet and pretty loud in the room when it rained. We made sure to arrive before 5 pm so we could check in at the desk but the desk person was away for 20 minutes when we got there.

We entered our room only to see a roach on our bed frame, with three more underneath the mattress. There was a terrible musty odor throughout the small room which made it hard to breathe. The bathroom was gross with black in the corners of the shower, and a wooden vanity that was open underneath and probably had critters living underneath it. The carpet felt very dirty as well. I kind of think we should’ve just slept in our car instead we braved a night in there and tried not to think about what might be crawling on us as we slept.
