OYO 玫瑰與皇冠飯店

My husband booked an evening meal for us on 18/07/25 on messenger. When we arrive he was met with a blank face and the lady behind the bar told us that the landlady was at a funeral. She knew nothing about us being booked in. It's my understanding that before you go anywhere you make sure all your staff know what's going on. Lucky it wasn't busy and we did get to eat. The cover ladies (one from Salisbury and two from Blackpool) where good and coped with the world of poo they where left in. Management you really need to take a look at what's going on.

Genuine, honest, unpretentious, friendly, traditional and authentic. Very welcoming and in a tranquil location. Beer and food excellent value and great service.

John (aka Tim) and Emma are very welcoming and relaxed. We only had the one night stay with them but the location was spot on for our visit. The food was really good and priced very fair. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included in our price and again was very good. We would definitely stay again should the need arise.

Well after reading such review's we were expecting a warm welcome ..it's was anything but cold & unwelcoming. ( Warm & welcoming host must have the weekend off) Room was ok bathroom absolutely trip hazard door doesn't shut fully ..very thin curtains so daylights comes through at 4am Breakfast was spot on lots of choice and Nicely cooked full English no choice of eggs got scrambled..very much felt like had your room and breakfast now disappear from my premises. Was warned on way down it's a rought place( take heed ) ...shame the host was so unfriendly we stayed in our room even thought their was a bar to drink in

Called in to pub as now under new management, extremely friendly couple, very helpful with beer choice, pub now looking clean and inviting with a lovely open fire. Highly recommend. A lovely place to stop off when you need a break on your walk. Looking forward to visiting again.

Visited today after hearing it was under new management. What a difference friendly ,welcoming .It was clean and we had a chat with the lovely couple who have taken on this very old pub. Looking forward to going back when they do food . So I hope all the new visitors ignore the bad reviews and give this couple a chance to keep this old pub going .
