"Friendly, cosy B&B in a historic building with free parking outside. Excellent location for exploring Wensleydale and the Yorkshire Dales. Located within a conservation area with Grade 1 listed church opposite. Full of character, history and countryside nearby. Wonderful breakfast with self service fresh fruit & cereal. Hot drinks served with excellent English breakfast by Helen. Handy licensed shop downstairs with newspapers, fresh fruit & veg, groceries. Microwave, fridge & sitting room where you can heat simple meals. I enjoyed the mile walk to Mill Gill 100' waterfall, visits to Hawes museum, Wensleydale Creamery, Bolton Castle and lots of fresh air and country walks."

"Location was really good for a base to see the Yorkshire dales. We had a good relaxed welcome by Ann and Barry and shown to room No1. Double sized room with a wonderful view and all the facilities that we required. The room was clean and tidy with extra pillows and covers if you require them. The house is well kept and tastefully furnished. Barry was in the dining room to welcome us for breakfast and to offer us hot drinks. We opted for the cooked breakfast and were not disappointed, there are also other choices if you require them. Overall this is a place we would recommend for someone to stay and we would definitely stay here again."
