From the moment we checked-in to the our check-out, the hotel staff was helpful and accommodating. Mary checked us in and helped us with our air-conditioning since we had an issue turning it on. Mary greeted us with a homemade Greek drink and we had complimentary snacks in our room. The location was perfect for us as we took the ferry into Heraklion and walked about 10 minutes from the ferry dock to the hotel. I chose this hotel due to our transportation needs. Our plan was to stay one night and we needed to take the bus from Heraklion to Chania, and the Central Bus Station is right across from the hotel, which made everything easy and convenient. We also took the local bus to Knossos Palace, and the bus stop happened to be across from the hotel as well. Since we only stayed for one night, the hotel has a luggage room that we used because we wanted to tour Knossos Palace the morning we checked-out. I highly recommend this hotel to others.

I booked this hotel through AGODA and when I got to the hotel I was told that there was no reservation under my name. I had a confirmation and even an email from the Hotel, so I could not understand. The lady at the reception found me a room but said that could not assure all the stay because they were full. I complained and the manager did all the efforts to understand and found out that AGODA and booking are making reservations with the rates of Olympic Hotel (at Moires a city out of Heraklion), where they were expecting me, and the address of Hotel Olympic. Although it was also not their fault, they were tireless to understand the problem and help me with the booking. I managed to stay there the entire time. They were alaways very nice, the room was perfectly ok and the breakfast also ok for the price. The localization is excellent. A very good choice!

We stayed here in July and I can't say anything else, it is really a top hotel. The arrival and check-in alone is very chill and can be done through an app. This is very nice when you have just finished the flight etc. Staff is very friendly and want to help you with everything. The stay is made pleasant through the same app with which you can arrange many things yourself (think of room service, making a reservation in the restaurant or ordering a drink at your sunbed). The location is perfect because you are right on the beach and because of the location you have an incredibly beautiful view of the sea. So for us really wonderful vacation.

訪訪客用戶Fabulous hotel, everything you need for a stay is in the room. Very clean, it’s a very modern hotel super smart. It was also very easy to reach from the main highway . There is street parking…area felt very safe…but also a 3 minute walk there is parking..multi story …8 euros per 24 hours Katerina who runs the suites was very professional and very lovely. 10 min walk to the high street, 5 mins from restaurants and coffee shops. Close to the museum.

Το ξενοδοχείο ήταν φανταστικό και πολύ καθαρό!!απόλυτα ασφαλές περιβάλλον όπου τηρούνται τα πρωτοκόλλα για τον κορωνοϊό. Πολλά ευχαριστώ στην Άννα που μας έκανε την κράτηση! Μας έκανε την διαμονή μας ευχάριστη! Ήταν πολύ ευγενική εξυπηρετική χαμογελαστή και πάντοτε στην διάθεση μας για να εξυπηρετηθούμε άμεσα!!!!!Θα σας επισκεφθούμε σίγουρα και θα σας προτείνουμε ανεπιφύλακτα για όποιον χρειαστεί διαμονή στο Ηράκλειο!!

It's in the old city (no private vehicle parking) After dinner , kids play in the square , with watchful parents . Much better than listening to carousing tourists all night .

The hotel is strategically located within walls of old city between the beach of Ammoudara and the main attractions, not so far from them. Hotel is re-innovated 7 floor building. Rooms are not large, but but enough for the convenient accommodation. The room has the safe, TV, several chairs, table and the wardrobe, electric kettle, air conditioner. There is quite large balcony with two beach chairs and the small table and also drying hanger for the clothes. Unfortunately there is quite a lot of dust in the air from street, so everything gets dusty very quickly. The room has electric sockets next to the beds and two other sockets, one of them with USB port. The personnel speaks English and very friendly and helpful. The avenue Kalokerinou named after the discoverer of the Knossos Palace is quite busy road so it is nicer to live on higher floors. There is a restaurant serving good continental breakfast. There is omelette, ham, cheese, Greek yogurt, flakes, fruits, on the menu. Just 70 meters from the hotel there is Bazaar and in 200 m is Chalkiadakis supermarket, Lidl in 800 m outside of the city walls. All closed on Sundays. The avenue Kalokerinou has several street food places, and if you walk 400 m to Morosini Lions Fountain you can find even more restaurants there. Heraklion has a problem with great beaches, but in 500 m from the hotel there is a Dermatos Bay, where is a wild beach where one can deep into the sea. The proper beach is in Ammoudara in 2.2 km from the hotel. There is another beach in 1 km in front of Talos Plaza shopping mall, but it is rocky and no sunbeds or lifeguard. Another place to swim is the port mole starting from the Kules fortress in 1.2 km. The mole protects from high waves when it is windy and other places are not suitable for swimming.

訪訪客For many years I have traveled 100 or more days a year. In SEP-OCT 2022, I traveled for a month in Greece staying at 12 hotels (and on an overnight Ferry). In this context and related to price, Heraklion Old Port Apartments was above average. PROS: Cost was very reasonable. The room with living room was clean, very spacious and with a well provided kitchen and fridge (supermarket food was extremely inexpensive in Crete). There were extra towels so no need for service. The young woman at the desk was very helpful and cordial. CONS: Close to the old port but about 700 meters to center of town and more to the National Museum or the main bus station (to Knossos or to the beaches). Still all can be reach by walking. The add say the room had great views which did not materialize. Heraklion has a lively main street around the fountain of the lions and a Great museum on the Minoan civilization which was spectacular. The museum in Heraklion was great but Knossos (reach by city bus) was very disappointing since I care for historical archaeology and not for the distorted recreation of the site by an over-imaginative British amateur. The beaches near Heraklion (which can be reach by inexpensive regular city buses) are adequate but not spectacular. In late September the beaches were not crowded at all, but still with warm water to swim. Heraklion was of interest in itself and where I rented the car to visit the rest of Crete (Xania with a picturesque Venetian port, spectacular Elefonsina Beach great for snorkeling, great ruins of Faestos, and many other atttractions). I spent 6 nights in Crete and could have enjoyed another week at least. Next trip I will stay longer in Crete. Parting remarks: Greece is wonderful, except for the touristic islands which were crowded even in October and I may skip them altogether next time. The Peloponesse resulted better than expected. Athens was safe anytime anywhere I moved, even after midnight. Travel light because not all hotels have elevators and in ancient towns you will climb many stairs and walk over cobblestones. Missing church number 59 was OK, sitting in a café watching people go by and doing nothing was inspiring even for hyper me. I had a wonderful trip.

The young man on reception immediately sorted out a new room which was clean and comfortable.
He provided cold drinking water which was lovely after a long journey and offered any assistance needed.
Very central to town and transport.

Would stay again and is recommended.

訪訪客I had a pleasant 7 night stay here at this accommodation while in Heraklion, Crete. It belongs to the Lato Boutique, which is the main hotel. The Annex is right opposite and required card access to enter. Room was the Economy room (15 sq. metres), a little on the small side, but good enough for a solo traveller. The room was right next to the stairwell and the lift, so there were times I could hear people moving about, but at night it was very quiet, and there were no sleep disruptions. Bed was comfy, air-conditioning was also good. The shower was also good, with shampoo and soap provided, though I noticed it was running a little low towards the end of my stay (i.e., no refills were done). I also appreciated that a luggage rack was provided, along with two bottles of water on check-in day. Fridge was big enough to fit lots of mineral water bottles to keep them cold, which would be a great reprieve in the summer time. Room safe was incredibly huge as well, it can easily store laptops securely, if needed. The elevator door got stuck on the day of check-out, but still worked, so not too big of an issue there. Wi-Fi requires a special code that you can get from the reception. My first code strangely stopped working after two days, but was promptly rectified after I informed the reception of the issue. There were no other connectivity issues for me. The hotel location is pretty near to the Venetian Port, and the Rocca Fortress; it is also walking distance away from the main shopping street in Heraklion and lots of good eating places nearby. There are also supermarkets nearby to get water as well. It does get quiet at night, but I did not encounter any incidents that made me feel unsafe. My room came with buffet breakfast included, which is served in the main building. Breakfast starts service from 7 am onwards, and was generally quite crowded at the start. Depending on the crowd level, the staff will occasionally open up a new section of the dining area. Breakfast was generally good, there was a good spread of American breakfast items, to pastries, ham and cheese and even Greek yogurt with a lot of condiments. It varied a little bit from day-to-day, but was generally the same for the most part.
