My husband surprised me with a 2 night stay at The Franklin for my birthday. We were met by Felicity who provided a parking pass and although we were early to book in and our room was not ready, she was just so helpful and welcoming and gave us the key to let ourselves in when we had finished visiting the snowy Christmas markets. As a wonderful surprise, our hosts had decorated the room to celebrate my birthday and left some bubbles in the fridge. This is a very special touch, that was very much appreciated, that you don’t get everywhere. The room was immaculate, well decorated and the large bathroom had a shower. Breakfast was expertly cooked by Dan in the mornings and nothing was too much trouble. Dan and Felicity were perfect hosts and if we are ever in Harrogate again, I would certainly re-visit.

Stayed here a couple of years ago and found my 2 night stay this year every bit as good. Dan is a great host. The breakfast choice is fantastic and the cooked choices I had were both fantastic. Really clean room (No4), very good shower, and choice of tea/coffee/waters in the room. Will definitely return again next year.

Perfect location to explore Harrogate, great hosts, very comfortable room with everything you need including fresh milk in a mini fridge. Delicious breakfast, cooked freshly, options of cereal, fruit and so much more. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed one night at The Franklin Hotel. Prior to booking I rang to get some further information. I spoke to Dan who was very friendly and helpful. I knew from chatting to him I was definitely going to book. On the day we arrived we were met by Felicity who was extremely welcoming and chatty. We were lucky to get early check-in and a parking space right outside the hotel for which Felicity provided the permit. Our room was wonderful. Beautifully decorated, spacious, spotless,comfortable and well equipped. Plenty of tea and coffee. Fabulous flapjacks . Fresh milk was provided in the little fridge along with complimentary water. Our breakfast next morning was delicious. Perfectly cooked and plentiful. Dan was a wonderful host ensuring everything was to our liking. We only stayed one night at The Franklin and frankly it wasn't enough. I wished we could have had another night. We highly recommend it and we hope to return. Dan and Felicity are the perfect hosts . Genuinely warm and inviting. Thank you both for a lovely, memorable stay.

What an absolutely wonderful place! A total gem! The owners were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble! The room was lovely, immaculately clean and in a fabulous location, walking distance to the bars, shops and restaurants! Breakfast was a thing of wonder as the owner is a Chef, and it showed! Delicious , hot and quality ingredients made it the best breakfast I have had in a long time! We tried to book again whilst we were there but unfortunately it was fully booked and i can totally see why! Would go again in a heartbeat x

Dan and Felicity made us feel welcome throughout our 2day stay. Tge room was immaculately clean and tge little touches that are apparent as you look around the property give truth to the fact that they are two people who care and genuinely want to give you a home from home experience. Close to the centre of Harrogate it’s perfectly located to enjoy this beautiful Yorkshire gem which is ideal for a short stay or longer! Can’t praise it highly enough or the care and attention to detail that’s been afforded in making a visit a memorable event!

Lovely B&B with very friendly and helpful hosts. Dan and Felicity couldn't do enough for you. We stayed for 2 nights in a lovely room. Very comfy bed, good shower and very clean. Breakfasts was really tasty and well cooked or good cereal and pastry options with home made jam. Fresh milk and water were in the fridge in room along with tea, coffee and biscuits when we arrived. The Franklin is in a great location, 5 minutes walk to shops and bus and train stations. A nice Greek and a fish restaurants are very close by and a cosy pub is just down the road. Would highly recommend the Franklin. Lyn, Liverpool.

We visited The Franklin in early March 2024 and had a lovely stay. Felicity greeted us, showed us round and sorted us out with a parking permit. We stayed in Room 2 which used the space really well and was warm and cosy. The bed and pillows were super soft. Vegan milk and snacks were provided. Dan's breakfast was delicious with veggie and vegan options provided. It was about a ten minute walk in to town, close to lots of bars and restaurants. We couldn't have asked for more and if we're back in the area would definitely stay again.

Writing this at the bay window alcove of The Franklin’s breakfast room. Small, family-run business, wonderful hosts in Daniel and Felicity, brilliant central location with easy, free on-street parking, cozy room with a great bed, powerful, hot shower and the best full English, sorry, Yorkshire I’ve had in a hotel for many moons…God, what else do you want? A brilliant stay and fantastic value. Delightful people, delightful venue.
