The apartments in the picture do not correspond to reality. We had to climb to the 5th floor on foot along a narrow staircase. The room looks very tired. There is no sound insulation, you can hear everything that happens on the street from the room. There are huge problems with hot water - you have to wait 10-15 minutes for it to finally run 🙃 but it can remain barely warm :) There is no hood in the toilet... all the moisture from the shower goes into the room. The staff is very diligent, trying their best to resolve all problems. Help with luggage up to the floor, good daily cleaning. But they don't have disposable slippers - in the room there are ordinary plastic slippers that look like they're already a couple of years old. Breakfast is good. Good selection of buffet. But it’s from 6:30 to 9:30 and by 9 there’s practically nothing 🥲 Juices are heavily diluted with water

Rooms are spacious and clean. Location is good. Service, however, is not exceptional. We encountered a problem in booking airport pickup for our friends who arrived a day after us. Driver forgot that they will fetch someone in the airport, so we had to remind multiple times the hotel staff to not forget the airport pickup day after next. They don’t replenish complimentary water if the supply for the day was not consumed. And if you ask for the supposed replenishment, they will charge you. It may be the language barrier, but yeah.

I enjoyed my stay here the team is really professional and help me move around . I would go back and recommend to friends and families.

We chose La Palm Premier due to its excellent location close to the lake and in the old quarter of the city. It turned out to be a good choice. The hotel has excellent staff, helpful and friendly. Some of them can speak English well while others are passable. We got upgraded to 'junior suites' for our 5 night stay. It's important to look closely at the rooms as all the rooms are different. One tip is that the 504, 604, 704 are the best. The hotel is clean and so are the rooms. Beds are comfortable and there is no street noise. The hotel helped us to plan and book excursions to Halong Bay and Ninh Binh and helped us by recommending restaurants and money changers. Any request was met with a smile. Breakfast is fairly good with enough Western and Vietnamese options. Other than that there is no food service. However with the many restaurants around that is really not a problem. Overall a very good experience.

Michael, David and the staff were very friendly and helpful. David communicated well checking our arrival as was late from the airport. Michael took me on his bike to get my damaged rucksack repaired and bartered the price. He recommended a great restaurant for lunch and even stored our luggage days after checkout and offered free showers whilst waiting the overnight train. Amazing service 5 stars

The hotel's location in the Old Quarter is ideal for enjoying Hanoi on foot, and has the bonus of not being on one of the busier thoroughfares. Throughout my two weeks at the hotel, every single member of staff - lobby, reception, restaurant, cleaning staff - were outstandingly welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The breakfasts each day were fresh, with a fair amount of variety. The room was clean and very comfortable, with an effective and spacious shower. Certainly a hotel I would choose on any future visits to Hanoi.

This was our last stay in Hanoi. We stayed at this hotel 7 years ago with a group of friends. We're disappointed at the condition of the hotel now. We received a cheerful reception from an English well spoken lady. The room looks old and needs refurnish, my husband took quite a while to open the room door. The room has few lights and looks dim. The hotel is situated in a row of shops selling items for prayer and hardware shops. There's also a school just a few doors away. We need to walk for a couple of minutes to look for food. The morning buffet breakfast was a let down. With the price I paid for I could have gotten better accommodation. But nevertheless credit goes to the reception lady who patiently highlights the must see places & helps us to book a taxi to the airport.

Location is great but then this quarter is small so most places you stay at will be walking distance to the old quarter sites and a cheap grab or taxi ride away for other landmarks. Hotel is clean and rooms are nice. No real city view as advertised, maybe the family rooms might have had it but we sure did not have a view from the 5th floor. Staff is very nice and helpful, they will also book trips if you want to see sights or do day trips. They will add 3% if you use a credit card which is not a problem but be sure to double check the math when they do. Right now hotel rooms come with free breakfast buffet. It is ok, not bad but really not worth getting up early for and we choose to mostly just go out on the town and find food.
