塔哈大飯店(Taha Tai)

Realmente el hotel superó totalmente nuestras expectativas. Las habitaciones muy bonitas y funcionales, camas cómodas y todo muy limpio. Excelente desayuno y buen restaurante. La ubicación espectacular y los jardines y la piscina muy lindos. Pero lejos, lo mejor, la calidez y preocupación de todas las personas que nos atendieron en nuestra estadía. En recepción, desde antes que llegáramos, siempre muy amables; En restaurante, atentos y preocupados,, y lo mismo las camareras, siempre con una sonrisa y preocupadas de hacer las habitaciones solo cuando estaban seguras que habíamos salido. Nos encantó Rapa Nui, su gente, su cultura y paisajes. Esperamos volver y, cuando lo hagamos, retornaremos a Taha Tai.

De kamers zijn ruim; je kan er kiezen tussen een huisje en een kamer in het grote gebouw waar ook de receptie gevestigd is. - er is water beschikbaar - goede wifi enkel in de zithoek - ruim zwembad Vlakbij een grote supermarkt. Wij hadden een kakkerlak in de kamer, maar goed, dat kan je volgens mij niet vermijden op het eiland en met al dat water in de buurt. Het was toen mijn verjaardag en ze hebben een taartje voorzien + wijn :-)

We absolutely loved the Taha Tai Hotel. The friendliness and hospitality of all members of staff is 5 definitely star (the UK has much to learn from these wonderful people!). The hotel is conveniently located close and within easy walking distance of the facilities in Hanga Roa, with a well stocked supermarket just around the corner. The rooms are simply furnished, but clean and functional. The pool area is small, but perfect for some down time after a day out touring. The restaurant serves a delicious and varied buffet breakfast, more than enough to satisfy any appetite, and the lunch and dinner options are delicious too. The twice weekly dance show located in the dining room is also well worth the experience of local culture. A massive thank you to everyone making our stay so enjoyable. We will miss you!

Pasamos 4 noches en el Hotel Taha Tai en la Isla Rapa Nui. Ha sido una experiencia muy positiva. El hotel está situado a solo 5 minutos del aeropuerto. El hotel está muy bien ubicado al lado del mar con vistas muy bonitas desde su restaurante, donde se toma también el desayuno. Una noche teníamos un espectáculo de danza en el mismo hotel, era increíble y muy recomendable. Nuestra habitación era espaciosa, limpia y muy tranquila con vistas a un jardín y el mar. Teníamos una pequeña terraza adelante de la habitación. El desayuno de forma de buffet muy bien. Desde el hotel se puede llegar a todos los sitios importantes del pueblo andando. Un paseo muy bonito al lado del mar para llegar a múltiples restaurantes en la cercanía. También hay un supermercado muy cerca. El personal del hotel muy amable, especialmente Gabriel de la recepción. Hay una piscina con tumbonas para tomar el sol. Un lugar tranquilo y muy recomendable para visitar la Isla de Rapa Nui.

Hotel muy correcto, bastante céntrico, agradable, habitaciones, bungalows y comedor frente al mar. Muy tranquilo y silencioso. La habitación y el aseo amplios y muy limpios. El personal de recepción muy amable ofreciendo indicaciones y mapas de la isla y la ciudad.

We stayed for 5-nights in late-Oct at the Hotel Taha Tai in Hanga Roa on Easter Island ($227 US/night). The hotel, entered from a street 1-block back from the waterfront, is situated on a nicely landscaped property that gently slopes down to the waterfront street. From the back parking lot, you walk by the very nice pool (hardly ever used) on a grassy terrace, then a wide V-shaped building with reception and 2 corridors to the rooms. Further down the slope are the bungalows, then the restaurant with its ocean views. It is a short walk to the harbour, shops and restaurants. We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel because it is much nicer than it appears in the internet photos. While obviously not new, it has been meticulously maintained and renovated. The common areas are warm and welcoming, even the hallways are wide with high white ceilings, the walls with alternating wood panels are lined with local art. Our standard double room's patio faced a wall of vegetation, but we preferred it over the superior rooms facing the pool courtyard because it was both very private and had the afternoon sun. The room was open and spacious, with wood panelling and white accent walls and ceiling. It was furnished with a king bed (super comfortable) with side tables, chair, a couple of luggage benches, a long bench with the TV, AC, and a wardrobe closet with a small safe. There was no refrigerator, but they provided a shared fridge in the lobby that worked well. The shower/tub had plenty of hot water. The only negative was the internet. It was slow, which is understandable in such an isolated location, but the hotel's system required a full sign-in each time (irritating), and timed out after an hour (not an issue). Breakfast was typically Chilean, with a selection of baked goods, several types of fresh juices, fruits, ham and cheese, and hot scrambled eggs and bacon. We also dined-in one night and were both happy with the quality offered. A note on tours: the hotel offered tours through Maururu Travel that are much cheaper than those you see on the internet, and have contacts with local guides and people who rent their cars. We chose the latter for a full day private tour to all of the sites (equivalent to a day tour plus 2 half-day tours through the agency) that cost $150 US for the guide and $60 US for the car – a great deal. And on the issue of prices: we were expecting everything to be much more expensive on Easter Island. The hotel was, but meals, wine, beer and everything else at the supermarket (less than a block away) was very similar to the mainland. Within the context of the high hotel prices on Easter Island, Hotel Taha Tai proved to be a great hotel for a relaxing stay on Easter Island. Recommended.

Service was beyond exceptional when things went wrong. I can't say better about a hotel than that, IMO. The accommodations were totally fine (being conscious of cost of goods is a sensible thing here...) Considering the location, it's a remarkable place, made all the better by good humans as staff.
