麻雅譚嘉樂飯店(Maya Tangalle)

Beautiful Property tucked in the South of Sri Lanka bordering lush paddy fields. Nothing negative all in fantastic stay. The entire staff and team were fantastic offering their services to the fullest. Samapth and prashan have very good attention to detail and wait on you but not in a overbearing way. The food was fantastic and I must the say the the pizza & Biriyani have a soft place in my heart. The rooms were amazing! A place where luxe meets beautiful urban living. We definitely hope to be back again soon!

We stayed in the Presidential Suite owing to a recommendation of friend of my wife’s. We could not have been more spoilt. The charming staff headed up by Prashath, the General Manager, looked after us like royalty. He and his wonderful chef even took us round splendid temples. The luxury was unsurpassed . Extremely highly recommended.

Absolute gem in beliatte! The hotel is quite nice, calming and has a very unique concept behind it. It’s situated on boder of a tangalle with breathtaking views. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and cozy with a lovely pool - great to unwind and relax. Food is top notch as well. The service from the staff is impeccable - special thanks to wasantha, devaka, sharika and jayathilaka. Will recommend 100% to anyone.

Wir waren 3 Nächte im Maya Hotel und sind noch nie in unserem Leben so verwöhnt worden. Die Anlage mit nur 5 Zimmern ist sehr schön. Es gibt einen schönen Pool und Garten. Das Essen ist überdurchschnittlich gut und auch die Massage haben wir sehr genossen. Da das Hotel etwas abseits liegt, wurden wir zu sämtlichen geplanten Aktivitäten von dem sehr netten Manager gefahren und mussten nur die Spritkosten übernehmen. Besonders genossen haben wir auch einen Spaziergang durch das uns umgebende Dorf. Wir waren die einzigen Gäste und der ganze Service hat sich auf uns konzentriert. Diesen Ort können wir wirklich empehlen.

This hotel was one of the nicest as well as friendliest places I’ve ever stayed. The grounds are gorgeous, the restaurant is absolutely wonderful and the staff is exceptional. I will never forget this place. If you’re looking for somewhere away from the bustle of Tangalle but still near enough to the beach, I think you should stay here.

The Maya is a delightful property....elegant and stunning rooms beautiful, service second to none. A boutique Manor house set in lush gardens with a mountain backdrop. This is a beauty at it's best with an amazing Spa experience. To sum up this property....a must to visit and experience and luxury at it's best.

The villa of Maya Tangalle is simply a heaven on earth. I spent several days there and was welcomed as a queen by the kind and devoted staff. The houses and their decoration, the luxuriant park full of old trees and wonderful flowers, the birds chirping around within each thicket, the royal-blue swimming pool, the home-made delicious food cooked by the Chef. In the morning, I could not wait to enjoy the copious and tasty breakfast, sitting in the sun or under a majestic tree... Yes, everything is there to make you feel over the moon. I would particularly remember Prashanth's thoughtfulness and professionalism who, as a Head of staff, made everything he could to make me feel good. As a naturalist, I was also very touched by the staff's sensitivity and very happy to see that our discussions bear fruit: One day, a nestling fell into the swimming pool and I saved him in extremis. After I explained to the staff, he would fall again and most probably die if we did not move the nest further away from the water, everyone swung into action and moved the very heavy stone flower pot further into the park. On my advice, they even set up wind chimes around the swimming pool later on, in order to keep birds away and prevent them from drowning. I also know what the Villa leads environmental projects, among other things by planting trees. I was for that matter very lucky to plant a banana tree that I hope will grow strong and high in this magical place. And I am sure that I'll come back again one day to see that with my own eyes.

Our stay at Maya Tangalle was nothing short of exceptional. The staff members were truly amazing, making us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. The rooms combined luxury with a distinct Sri Lankan vibe, ensuring both comfort and cultural immersion. Notably, cleanliness was impeccable. Throughout our stay, the staff's friendliness stood out, and we encountered no issues whatsoever. The food was delightful, and every request we had was swiftly and efficiently addressed. A special mention to the serene pool area, which added to our perfect experience. Highly recommended!

Maya Tangalle is an absolute dream. Prashath and his team went above and beyond to make our 4 nights at Maya the most incredible experience for our first time in Sri Lanka. They will tailor your trip to exactly what you are after. We opted to get out and about going on multiple tours: - Mulkirigala Rock Temple - amazing buddhist cave paintings and statues - Exploring the beautiful nearby beaches of Tangalle - Udawalawe national park - elephants galore - Kalemetiya - bird watching with excellent guides - Handunogoda Tea Plantation - fantastic information on tea making and a beautiful place - Galle day trip with a Galle Fort tour The food that was cooked for us by Chef Ashoka and his team was unreal. An authentic Sri Lankan food experience is exactly what we were after and we got it every single day. They even put on an amazing outdoor cooking class for us. If you are looking for exceptional service, in a peaceful setting then Maya Tangalle is for you. Sampath and the team of servers go out of their way to set up beautiful table arrangements around the property and they are the most friendly people! We will be back again. This place is truly special.
