We had a fantastic stay at this small cosy luxury boutique hotel. The well-appointed and comfortable room provided the perfect retreat after a day of exploring. The staff was amazing, incredibly friendly, and always ready to help, making us feel right at home. The pool, with its scenic view, was a highlight, offering a tranquil place to unwind. The superb breakfast was a delightful start to our day, and the delicious dinners we enjoyed for five evenings at the hotel were a culinary delight. The hotel is situated on top of a hill with great views of the ocean and I enjoyed morning walks down to the beach every morning, it only takes 15-20 minutes to walk down/up and it is nice to walk past the local friendly residents. Our stay was great, and everything worked smoothly and easily. Highly recommended!

Wat een plek! Wat een uitzicht! Wat een enorme gastvrijheid! Wat was dat fantastisch toeven bij A&A and crew. Top kamers, top restaurant, top zwembad, top massage…echt in 1 woord: TOP! Taxi geregeld bij aankomst en vertrek, geweldige tips voor trips, daardoor het prachtige binnenland mogen ervaren en beleven: dankjulliewel 🙏 voor deze heerlijke ontspannende verwenweek in jullie paradijs! ❤️

Wat een geweldige en rustige plek om te ontspannen! Een mooi en fraai ingericht resort met een goed zwembad, een fantastisch uitzicht op de Indische oceaan, heerlijk en mooi opgemaakt eten in het open restaurant, de mogelijkheid van een super massage, sfeervol ingerichte kamer, maar bovenal een supervriendelijke staff die je van alle kanten wil helpen en adviseren. Waren hier een week en kregen goede tips wat we konden ondernemen. Voelden ons helemaal thuis door alle persoonlijke aandacht. De zonsopgang bij het zwembad is een plaatje. In 10 minuten loop je naar beneden naar een vrijwel verlaten strand. Maar ook een tuktuk of taxi kan natuurlijk voor je geregeld worden. Kortom, de perfecte plek om je in de watten te laten leggen! Ishtuti!

Ein sehr schönes Resort. Sehr sauber, tägliche Zimmerreinigung. Vom Balkon aus hatten wir eine traumhafte Aussicht. Die Küche Super, der Pool Mega. Das Personal sehr freundlich Hilfsbereit und aufmerksam, was den Aufenthalt noch schöner machte. Wir wollen uns auch besonders bei Upeka und Milinda bedanken für die wunderbare Zeit im Tabula Rasa.

We had the ocean and garden view room. Definitely worth it. The room was great, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fantastic, especially the Sri Lanka special breakfast. And the pool was very clean and has a magnificent view. The only thing I would say is that the hotel bar is not equipped all too well, they only have one or two brands of everything. But they still make nice cocktails.

We are staying here nine nights in February 2022. We have had a really relaxing time. It’s potentially a hotel where families might bring children but largely it’s couples and has a rather adult vibe to the whole place. It’s a short Tuk Tuk ride away from Galle. That’s where you will get really good quality food. The Sri Lankan food here on the menu is its greatest strength. Each room has a Veranda and sea view which is just charming with many Sri Lankan sites to see such as monkeys monitor lizards mongoose and a wide variety of superb bird life. The restaurant lounges are absolutely lovely and I cannot say enough of the level of service which is quite superb staff are incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable about the local area. It is also extremely easy to get about by Tuk Tuk down to the beach which is very pleasant kilometre and a half away and there is a lovely walk around the local jungle and rice paddies where you will come across local residents. I cannot recommend this place highly enough if you really want to have a deep relaxing experience. However if it’s more the backpacker experience you’re seeking that’s just available down on the main road a kilometre and a half away as is the beach. The one disappointing thing about this area is the uncontrolled development along that road however there are one or two notable cafés and beach club such a been picked out by Tripadvisor which I would highly recommend however there is an awful lot of tart and grubby looking establishments which somewhat spoil the area in a way. Goal itself inside the thought is an absolute treasure however so you pick and choose and you will have an absolutely lovely time.

Very surprised by the most recent review of Tabula Rasa as we have just spent 8 fabulous nights there & we were very pleased with our stay . The resort is very beautiful with gorgeous views towards the sea. Our room was well appointed, immaculate & very comfortable. All the staff were very friendly and helpful . The only negative was the slight remoteness of the property but it was only a reasonably priced short Tuk Tuk ride to Unawatuna with all its many bars & restaurants if you fancy a change from the eating in the resort . Great hotel .
