麥特蘭菲爾德之家飯店(Maitlandfield House Hotel)

Likes, Bed was comfortable, breakfast was good, staff were friendly. Dislikes. Property looks abandoned from the outside, twin room was tiny. The bathroom was extremely cold due to gaps behind toilet letting outside air blow through. There was a smell of damp in the dining area where breakfast was served

From the outside this property looks run down but nothing could be further from the truth once you’re inside. Apparently council tardiness is responsible for the lack of external refurb as the building is listed. The rooms are spotless and very well provisioned in every sense. The dining room serves excellent food for both breakfast and other meals and at reasonable prices. Ignore the facade and do yourself a favour!!

Over all the hotel was in a lovely village location and easy to walk to shops, restaurants and public transport. Unfortunately the cleanliness of the bathroom wasn't good. There was mould all around the shower ceiling and tiles. The property and grounds and our room looked nothing like the photos shown on website. Property is in need of some TLC so we were disappointed.

It is a lovely country home/estate. Peaceful , comfortable and relaxing. I went to Edinburgh each day by bus -1 hour. Good time to unwind or plan.Flat 6 min walk to the bus is easy. I am nearly 70 and it is a doddle. The staff are relaxed and undemanding - I enjoyed my time.

We really enjoyed it. The food was lovely. We haven’t been for a few years. Thought the outside of the hotel needs a bit of diy. When we went inside we were pleasantly surprised. Good location for a trip down the coast. Would stay again.

Very tired requiring painting throughout. Lovely place and grounds though. Staff excellent nothing to much trouble. Breakfast very good. Good value for money overall.

Very handy for Haddington. Staff were very hospitable and helpful. Obviously still in development and updating but helpful staff made up for this. We would go there again.

Cute, friendly, helpful, wonderful breakfast, charm. Will definitely go back.

Room was small with only one bedside cabinet. Tiny bathroom with a contradictory shower, very difficult to control temperature. Headboard made of pleather was flaking in places onto bedsheets. However the large bed was very comfortable with good bedding. Good to get kettle in room but whilst we love tunnocks caramel logs found it a strange choice, it's a very messy biscuit, cleaners must never be done vacuuming up coconut lol. Staff were lovely and breakfast was good. Needed somewhere just for a local overnight stay but at £104 BnB out of season did seem expensive luckily I had my ********** reward to use.
