La vue est magnifique surtout si vous prenez la chambre avec vue sur la montagne. Le personnel est très sympathique et désireux de vous satisfaire. Quand on lève le matin on voit les animaux circuler dans la foret. Les jardins sont magnifiques Maintenant il y a quelques défauts 1. l'hôtel devrait signaler que pour se rendre chez eux il faut une voiture ou un taxi 4x4. Depuis Guacimo, on roule en montée 30 mm sur un chemin caillouteux. 2. Il n'y a pas d'air conditionné. Ma femme doit prendre chaque jour des médicaments qui se conservent de 20 a 30 degrés. Elle était obligée de surveiller la température. Dès que le soleil tape comme l'habitation est essentiellement en verre elle se transforme en sauna ! 3. La glace est derrière les toilettes --＞ sympa quand on se rase 4. Les heures d'ouvertures du restaurant sont drastiques. N'essayer pas de prendre un thé à 15h00 ou un cocktail à 17h00. Le restaurant ferme à 14h00 et réouvre à 1800. Extinction des feux à 21h00. Les couche-tard en prendront pour leur grade. 5. La chambre ne dispose pas d'un petit réfrigérateur. Si vous faites fi de tout cela vous passerez un superbe séjour.

I spent two nights with my wife. It has become one of my favorites places in Costa Rica; I´m a local! We stayed at Villa Kakala, it was magical!!! The location is super private and fantastic river / forest view. The Villa is very nicely designed as well as high end finishes. Very comfortable, quiet, secluded! Just perfect for our honey moon rendezvous! The couples massage, sauna, spa, horse tour to wowww river canyon, food and above all personalized and super friendly personnel made our trip on our best in Costa Rica. Unique place to stay. A am an avid birder from Colorado. A friend and I decided to take a quick trip to Costa Rica specifically to scout this resort. It did not disappoint. July is low season so we had most of the resort to ourselves. We wondered the grounds from sun up to sun down and had to quit finally from exhaustion. Denis the local guide joined us for half the day and to see he was awesome is an understatement. I read the review of the person who came in July of 23 who was shocked by the guard and the gate? Well this is latin America, I love the fact that they have a gate with a guard. There are some very high end homes on the property . I am heading back for 3 nights starting 1/5 with my wife she is going to be amazed with property!

It was an amazing stay. Great service and friendly people. Especially the tour we're special. The restaurant and the whole atmosphere were incredible. The hotel is perfectly connected to the jungle and it felt amazing waking up with the inside view of the jungle.

The bad - Gas ran out in our room so couldn't use stove or campfire - Glass door stays open (by design) so bugs and critters get in - Food was 6/10 and some of the menu was not available - Very limited meal times (1.5-2 hour windows) - Need a 4x4 car to access the property - No AC (only a fan) The good - Breathtaking view from the Mountain Suite - The staff was incredibly friendly & responsive to issues - Buildings and landscaping are very well designed - Great coffee - The glass everywhere was cool
