軍團前衛飯店(Hotel Corps de Garde)

Just stayed at this Hotel for 2 nights, absolutely spotless, great food, fabulous choice for breakfast, great location and such lovely friendly staff. Room 19 is perfect! Highly recommend! Also great local bars and felt safe.

Very well run historic boutique hotel. attentive service, tastefull interior, central location, competitive rates, generous breakfast. All you need ist there, Unnecessary chi-chi is skipped. We will return, thanks....

PROS: 1.) Lovely heritage building in Groningen's old town centre. (Request a canal view!) 2.) The best of Dutch service - staff are practical and always friendly. 3.) Very nice breakfast buffet, in an attractive dining room. 4.) All the shops, cafes and bars of the town centre are within easy walking distance. CONS: None to report for this establishment! TIPS: 1.) Aïnda laundry is very good, if your dirty laundry has piled up during your travels. It's a 5-min walk around the corner on Nieuwe Ebbingestraat. 8 euros for one reasonable-sized bag. 2.) It's a bit too far to walk if you're arriving at the train station. Best pay the 10 euros for a taxi.

Wij zij hier geweest van 5 op 6 juni omdat we weer een stuk Pieterpad gingen lopen. We verbleven op de bovenste verdieping in kamer 19. Een mooie kamer met houten balken. Het tweepersoonsbed was groot en lag heerlijk, ook hele prettige kussens. Inchecken kon vanaf 15 uur en lekker laat uitchecken om 12 uur. Ontbijten kon tot 11 uur en was prima. We kunnen dit hotel echt aanraden, het is van binnen en buiten prachtig een ligt op paar honderd meter van de Martinitoren. ‘s Avonds geheten bij Mr. Mofango, ook heerlijk.

Een pracht hotel aan de rand van de stad. Op 2 minuutjes lopen van het centrum. Mooi ingerichte kamers, hoge plafonds, super koffie en thee, minibar. Erg lekkere douche. Hotelpersoneel is erg vriendelijk. Heerlijk ontbijt. Zeer de mooier waard!

Overall, clean, beautiful, with great breakfast, and restaurant/lobby area in a good location and with extremely helpful & friendly staff. I showed up with a last minute booking via ********** but unfortunately, due to technical error, no room was reserved / available for me. They booked me in the last available room at their sister hotel, so at least I had a place to stay, but, unfortunately, the last available rooom was without much natural light, extremely loud during night, and with intermittent wi-fi and quite different than what I was expecting. The next day, I moved over to Hotel Corps de Garde and it was everything I did expect: good sized room full of light, excellent internet, and good breakfast. I liked it so much, I decided to extend my stay there a few more days.
