蘭辛大學區凱悅嘉寓飯店(Hyatt House Lansing / University Area)

This is a brand new hotel, and I hope they are able to make some quick course corrections because it has the potential to be an absolutely beautiful modern hotel. For a new hotel, it is already starting to show signs of wear and tear, and how difficult it will be to maintain. The hallway carpet clearly had not been vacuumed, and the carpet in front of some doors on the third floor looked quite stained. The recycling from the previous guest had not been removed from my room. There are some construction/contracting oddities that need to be resolved. See included picture of the toilet. This is an embarrassing but easy to fix situation that reflects on staffing/management. The TV message welcomed a person named Tess, which is not my name. Neither regular channels nor streaming services would load. I did not try the breakfast buffet that was offered for $19/person. There is quite a bit of open city parking that is 2 hour time limited right behind the hotel from 8 am-8 pm, which made it so I did not have to pay for parking.

Beautiful new hotel. Everything was perfect, except - the sheets are very scratchy. They are not good quality cotton. Also the room had a buzz that went all night. Disturbed my husband, I could block it out, but it was there. Maybe the emergency exit light ?

Beds are on the soft side. Everything else is outstanding. Very friendly and helpful staff.

I will never stay here again. I booked and prepaid for 4 nights. I called several days in advance to let the hotel know I was going to arrive a day later. I did not ask for a refund. I was assured the hotel would hold my room since I had paid for all 4 nights. I arrived and was told they gave my room away. It was parent’s weekend at Mich State. I was very lucky to eventually find another room. Worst I have ever been treated by a hotel.

The staff were amazing - the front desk gentleman and the bartender were incredibly friendly, made sure I was able to get a wind-down cocktail upon my late arrival from the airport, and were pleasant to chat with, as well. The hotel was very modern, very clean, had a stylish lounge and bar area, and my room was clean, modern and beautiful. Easy to walk to downtown Lansing locations.

New property running like it’s been open for years. GM Tim is great and has a great, welcoming staff. Would definitely return!

The employee who checked us in and then gave us a tour of facilities later was above and beyond gracious, helpful, professional. Absolutely the best front desk person I have ever encountered. He even prepared a cup of coffee for us!

Great location, brand new hotel, and it was very nice. Paid parking is available behind the hotel. Very nice place
