貝德福德飯店(Hotel Bedford)

What we liked was that it was cheap and what we didn't like was the musty smell throughout the place. It's a beautiful place but definitely needs an update on the carpet and walls. We found that the person at the front desk was nice but unprofessional because she was eating at the desk and talking to us with her mouth full of food.

It was very pleasant and I would stay there again. I had heard it could get loud with the live music downstairs on Friday nights, but I stayed on a Saturday and there was no noise at all. It is an old building, but it had everything I needed and it all worked. For the price, I was expecting it to be a lot worse than it was. The staff was friendly, it was spacious and quiet, there was lots of free parking right outside, and it is right in the middle of downtown, so you can walk anywhere you need to. I definitely enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Bedford.

we loved that its a historic building but its such a lost opportunity in the decoration and styling of the interior and rooms....it has so much potential......we loved that it was close to most everything and central in its location........Goderich is such a beautiful town.....our favourite vacation spot!!

The place was just terribly outdated with all the carpet, towels, sheets stained. The cleaning staff worked every day and you could tell they were trying their best, but there is just no hope. The place needs a major renovation to look semi-decent. Having 3 floors and no elevators should be mentioned prior to booking. Same with the live music in the pub downstairs playing until 12:30 am. An older hotel with fantastic charm. The central wooden staircase adds a warmth to this hotel. It is worn and dated but the room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Staff was friendly.

The carpets could be cleaned/shampooed more often or just replaced. As it's a Historical building you would think there would be grants for things like that.

We only stayed 1 night. Hotel was definitely historic but very clean, bed was comfortable and staff were pleasant. Couldn't beat the location. Perfect choice for our 1 night getaway.

The location of this hotel is convenient to the different places I visited in Goderich. The girl at the front desk was very pleasant and polite. However, the hotel itself needs some major reno! The carpet is more than disgusting. Overall, the hotel is very old. We were put in a room next to a “party room” that’s got a “private” sign on the door. We were kept up most of the night from the loud cheering, laughing and door slamming. I am a light sleeper so I was waken up every few minutes. I tried to phone the front desk to complain but the phone didn’t work. I was very disappointed with my stay there as I got up exhausted and hardly slept the night before. ☹️

Love the location and the price. The stairs, however could use a good cleaning as could the hallways. The room is, however, clean and comfortable and I would stay there again.
