Lovely place,well situated. Nice personable staff.Would book again.

An older style guest house, opposite the affiliated Argyll Hotel (where you have to go to check in). Our room was quite a reasonable size and comfortable, although we had to go downstairs one level and then back upstairs again, so for people with limited mobility our room would not be a good choice. The check in was friendly and quick, the room was quite clean and the location is good, close to Kelvingrove Museum and Park, and with plenty of pubs and restaurants around. If coming by train it is a bit of a walk from Glasgow Central, otherwise about 20 minutes from Kelvinbridge Subway station.

The room and bathroom were clean, the location of the room was not great, we were on the ground floor of the property accross the road, we could hear the creaking of the floor above, late into the night and early in the morning, which kept me awake. I had my daughter with me and the noise of the pub accross the road in the evening was distracting. The bed was ok but not the comfiest. The location was excellent. The ladies at breakfast were lovely and friendly, and the food OK. In all honesty not the best place ive been but also not the worst, may stay again if the room were cheaper.

My reservation, paid in advance, at Argyll guest house for 22-26 June 2022 clearly said breakfast included. When checking in they didn't respect this but wanted us to pay for breakfast. I showed the staff at reception my reservation, discussed it at three occasions during the stay but the reception staff always said that only the manager could handle this, a manager who was not available and didn't answer the phone. In the end they charged my credit card 136 GBP for breakfasts.
