格拉德斯通背包客旅舍(Gladstone Backpackers)

Beds are small and crammed with big dogs freely walking throughout all the rooms, no space in the shower so everything gets wet. Other guests screaming in the rooms until 4am. Zero help from staff after I was double charged, I have contacted them multiple times and they still won’t give me my money back. Worst hostel I’ve ever stayed at.

We stayed at Gladstone Backpackers twice, the first time we stayed management failed to mention there would be a private function of about 50 men in the backyard. We couldn't sleep all night and the few bathrooms there smelt of piss, spew and cigarettes. They were filthy. Overall felt VERY uncomfortable with the clientele there. We stayed for a second time, for convenience purposes only and assuming there wouldn't be another party on. This time it was cold, and we were only given a single sheet - make sure you pack a blanket if you stay in Winter. They also only gave three towels for the four of us, so we shared, as we couldn't find anyone to ask for another towel. To top it off, I had an additional charge of $20 in my account. When querying management about this, they said that we didn't wash the communal chopping board used for the continental breakfast in the morning (which is toast). She also mentioned another group used the chopping board too and they were also charged. $40 profit for a singular unwashed chopping board. Do yourself a favour and choose somewhere else! Pictures are deceiving!

Enjoyed my short stay. Friendly and relaxed staff, joined in on the fun and thanks to Darren I got to hike mount Larcum! Awesome hike and thanks for the guided tour. I will definetly recommend this hostel

They charged me twice, first for booking and then in person, to get my money back I had to talk to the bank, after that they never returned the deposit of 50 dollars for the room, I also tried several times to contact them with no response. They keep my money and make me pay an unagreed value

Simple like a home.. Awesome .more freedom to carry out your thing like gym, pool or taking walks. I would recommend to anyone travelling... Also the thing I like was having chat with other people from different walks.

Located easy walking distance to the Marina and East shores parklands .. perfect weather during my stay for a wander to watch the boats cruising past .. Great bunch of crew at the backpackers that were happy to entertain me floating solo.. awesome slow cooked lamb feast.. Thanks a bunch beautiful humans 💕

Great location if you like to get out on the water 🚤 🎣.. also to the Heron island ferry terminal, short walking distance to bars and eateries … the price range is easygoing compared to other accommodations in the area , life is what you make it, happy adventures ☀️

I was looking back at my travel diary, and feel compelled to leave a good review for this awesome place It's got the best /ruby red and dark wood) kitchen I have ever been in, my dream kitchen; it has a lovely lounge room with a pet turtle in a tank, and a gentle friendly dog with beautiful eyes was also outside. It's like a home away from home for the many young people there. The owners are lovely, honest, kind and helpful and fair. The house is huge, like a mansion, and we ate dinner on the huge 2nd story balcony which was lovely. I recommend this place due to the fantastic owners and the beautiful vibe of the mansion.

We stayed just one night as a stop off on a road trip and kind of wished we had stayed for longer! A very relaxed welcome family vibe. Our host Penny was very helpful and made delicious pizzas! The hostel pets were also very sweet. Facilities were very clean and the aircon worked very well. Good cheap drinks at the bar 👍
