The hotel is fabulous and the manager and staff make hotel an experience you will not forget. . Beautiful modern,clean spacious hotel nestled in the village. We had a gorgeous room with a Mountain View, for our 30th wedding anniversary. We arranged a mountain trek and on telling the manager ‘Panos’ he went out of his way to arrange iced water for our walk and a breakfast picnic for us to take, on our early start. He is so accommodating and nothing is too much trouble. The staff are so friendly, so happy to help, this includes Menia and Stefan. The housekeeping lady who cleaned our room was also an absolute treasure and the room was immaculate. The staff are constantly smiling, they work so hard, and they have made our stay at the hotel superior to any 5* we have stayed at before. We also had an issue retuning to London due to a fire at the airport. Again, Panos arranged for us to have the same room, dinner at the hotel (which is amazing too) and just looked after us as we were stressed and worried about getting back to the UK. I cannot recommend this hotel enough - it is definitely something special and I am hard to please where hospitality is concerned. What an amazing team here that go above and beyond to make it the wonderful boutique hotel that it is. We will come back and we will tell all our friends that they must visit too!

This was our third visit to Georgioupolis in 18 months and our second stay at the Pilot Amphora this year. The reason we went back was for to see Panos and his amazing team again. They did not disappoint & demonstrated what so many hotels get wrong, that balance between warmth and professionalism. There seems to be a natural understanding that, even for a short stay like ours, it is not a transactional relationship, but one that encourages you to feel part of something and makes you want more of it! Something that seems inherent in most Cretan hospitality it seems. We will be looking for any excuse to go back.

Wir waren für 8 Tage im Pilot Amphora. Es war wunderbar! Georgioupolis ist ein typischer Touristenort, und dieses Hotel ist eine gute Wahl, um zur Ruhe zu kommen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und unaufdringlich. Das Essen ist top (wir hatten Halbpension). Zimmer sind groß, sauber und sehr gut ausgestattet. Der Fitnessbereich ist recht klein, bietet aber ausreichend Platz für das Training. Was uns besonders positiv in Erinnerung bleibt, ist die Ruhe am Pool und während der Mahlzeiten. Falls wir nochmal nach Georgioupolis kommen, werden wir auf jeden Fall wieder ins Pilot Amphora gehen.

Superb journey there. We have booked a bungalow for 2 if us and for a week. The room was perfect. The hotel is really well situated as downtown but not on the beach and so very quiet. The all staff was absolutely lovely and carefull ! The breakfast was also very good and generous. Do not hesitate a second!

Sehr angenehme A**osphäre im Hotel. Das Personal ist seriös und zuvorkommend. Abends beim Essen gab es oft Live-Musik (Saxophone oder Geige) aber in einem sehr angenehmen und entspannenden Lautstärke. Falls man seine ruhe haben will und einfach entspannen möchte, ist dieses Hotel perfekt!

Hôtel fabuleux, à taille humaine, (30 chambres) et très intimiste. Un havre de paix, au calme. Côté chambre, nous avions réservé une « standard » mais comme il y en a moins que les chambres « maisonnette » en duplex, nous avons été surclassés. Surtout ne réservez pas de chambre avec piscine privée, elles sont au , face à un mur de bananier et non chauffée. Côté personnel, tout le staff est aux petits soins, nous sommes partis de très bonne heure 2 jours et notre lunch box était prête à chaque fois. Le dîner est servi à table et est excellente chaque jour. Le petit déjeuner buffet est aussi parfait. La piscine (non chauffée) est très grande ce qui est agréable pour nager. Seul bémol, la station balnéaire dans laquelle est situé l’hôtel est vraiment pas top. Tout le reste est parfait ! Nous y reviendrons sans hésiter.

Ein architektonisch sehr gut gelungenes Hotel, welches mit seiner überschaubaren Zahl an Zimmern (ca. 30) dem gewünschten Boutique-Charakter absolut gerecht wird! Die Maisonettzimmer verfügen zwar über keine private Pool, aber über einen geräumigen Balkon und viel Platz auf zwei Ebenen. Am Pool wird es nie Eng und zu jeder Zeit ist eine ausgesprochen gute Crew jederzeit um das Wohlergehen der Gäste bemüht. Das Abendessen ist gut und inkl. Weinkarte absolut geeignet den Tag ausklinge nzu lassen. Lediglich ein Hinweis sei gemacht, der hier etwas überraschend kommt: Das Menue (Drei Hauptgerichte) wird aktuell wöchentlich wiederholt, wobei da jetzt die Umstellung auf 10 Tage erfolgen soll.

Erwartungen erfüllt! Wir haben uns ausgesprochen wohl,gefühlt. Entspannter Urlaub in kleinem Boutique Hotel in dem Dorf Georgiopoli. Die Zimmer sind modern ausgestattet. Der Zimmerservice war sehr gut, die Hand- und Badetücher weich und von guter Qualität. Auffällig sind die motivierten und immer freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Mitarbeiter. Das frühstücksangebot war für uns vielfältig und der sehr leckere Cappucino wurde wie auch die Eierspeisen am Tisch serviert. Das 5 - Gang Menü ist Geschmackssache in Bezug auf Zusammenstellung und Zeitaufwand (1,5 - 2 Std.) . Gelegentliche wurde es durch leise Live Hintergrundmusik untermalt. Wie erwartet kann man durch die Ortsnähe ein vielfältiges Angebot nutzen. Zum zentralen Platz sind es gerade mal 200 m. Der Bus nach Rethymnon und Chania fährt in 200 m Entfernung ab. Man hört die Schnellstraße, und hat es nicht gestört. Wir würden jederzeit hier wieder unseren Urlaub verbringen.
