I understand old, I do not understand filthy. I spoke to the front desk and the attendant’s response was “we are renovating” and asked me if I would like to round up to help with the costs of the renovation. We have stayed at this property 6—10 times in the past. It has always been old, never in such a state of disrepair or extreme lack of cleanliness. We tried to end our stay after the first night but were told the second night was not refundable.

Under reconstruction which was not the issue, The rooms were dirty, used wash clothes in the shower, table and tv stand were dusty,dirty, it didn’t appear to be vacuumed. Staff at the restaurant were rudeand complained about having to many people, bar area was understaffed but bartending staff was working hard.

This property is well located. Easy walking access to cool dining and shopping options. The lobby is nicely preserved with great bands in the evening making it a fun space.
The rooms themselves are in desperate need of renovation. Bathrooms, beds, carpet, paint, etc. need to be replaced. We were in a group and everyone's room was similar

Amazing, historic landmark in Hot Springs. Well preserved and one of the cleanest places I’ve stayed consistently (this was my fourth or fifth stay).
Currently, they are undergoing maintenance, so keep that in mind.

Ugh these reviews make me mad! This hotel is ANCIENT! What on earth are people expecting? The elevators have dials above them for the floor! If you want an awesome old hotel that has been very well kept close to original then this one is it! It's fun they have a great bar and live music. You can't control the temperature who cares! Get hot or get cold and have an experience!!! The amount of goofballs giving this place bad reviews for being old is just amazing. The staff is great the whole thing rocks.... y'all technophilic fancy pants need to go somewhere else.

This property will be great when the exterior patio is finished. The room was nice, but tight moving around w the bed; looks muted space. I’ve always had fun in Hot Springs downtown, but Tuesday nights, most all establishments were closed.

A faded grand dame of a hotel, the wear and tear shows.. The room was terribly hot with no way to really cool it. A ceiling fan is not temperature control.

We could not control our individual room temperature. Our room was hot at night then cold in the morning. The rooms are very noisy. We could hear EVERYTHING that went on in the rooms and hallway near us. Not the cleanest bathroom since we had mold on the tile around the tub. And they also play the resort card so you pay almost as much for fees and parking as you do the room. Just not a good experience.
