Fabulous value for money guest house right on the beautiful beach, only 10 minutes from Galle in a tuktuk. Bus stop right outside. The room upstairs was spacious and comfortable with views over the garden and sea. Breakfast every morning was delicious and the family were so helpful, even giving us a lift to the nearest restaurant one night when it was pouring with rain. I would nit hesitate to return.

I really love this place. First I went there for two weeks, then I wanted to stay for an extra month, finally after almost three months I had to return to Europe... The best part is that it really feels like home. Sujani, Ashen and Tharindu are very nice and kind hearted people. I felt part of the family. I already miss them. The room was very comfortable and clean. The food is excellent. I am a vegetarian and they created something new and tasty for me every day. The sea is just a few steps from the garden. I enjoyed long walks on the beach, conversations with the locals and the beautiful sunsets. For surfers there is a good beach just 100 m from the place. For a runner there are beautiful small roads starting from the front gate (Be carefully with the traffic and the stray dogs!) Both Hikkaduwa and Galle are only 15 min by bus or tuktuk. I highly recommend Ashen’s Beach House!
