錫蘭橄欖飯店(Ceylon Olive Galle)

We had an excellent stay at Ceylon Olive for three nights in August 2023. The warm welcome you feel continues throughout your stay as the staff are amazing that they take care of you with every little help. We were treated like a part of the family from the arrival and the owner Kumudu invited us to have meals together with his family, which was a great experience. The food was amazing with authentic Sri Lankan cuisine. We felt that the hotel was a hidden gem in Galle, with five-minute Tuk Tuk drive away from Unesco world Heritage site of Dutch Fort and stunning Unawatuna beach. Ceylon olive was one of the most beautiful hotels I have stayed at. The pool, outdoor shower, stunning rooms, and peaceful environment were among the best. Thank you so much to Kumudu and everyone at Ceylon Olive for an unforgettable holiday.

If you are looking for a quite place in Galle this is the right place. The hotel is situated in very nice Garden with the pool. The breakfast is great and the owner very nice and helpfull. The rooms are very clean with very nice shower without the roof :)!

Wir haben uns im Ceylon Olive sehr wohl gefühlt. Leider waren wir nur eine Nacht. Kumudu ist sehr aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker, die Zimmer sind (waren im ersten Stock) sehr schön, großzügig und die Betten sehr bequem. Die Klimaanlage war so leise, dass wir nichts hörten. Wir konnten mit dem Tuc Tuc Fahrer vom Ceylon problemlos in die Stadt Galle, ca. 5-10 Min. Fahrt. Wir waren mitten im Jungle und konnten auch Blackface Monkeys in den Bäumen sehen!!

The location is perfect for easy access. They were friendly accommodating and allowed us to check in early, like 10 a.m. We got to the hotel a bit early, and we didn’t want to wait. So, this was a big plus. The service was exceptional as well. The best stay ever. The environment was pleasant and welcoming. The owner is outstanding and very attentive. He and the staff make you feel like part of their family and give wonderful support in every need of your visit. They were efficient, helpful, and understanding of our needs regarding restaurant recommendations and giving directions to the top nearby attractions to visit and how to get there. We stayed in the Cinnamon Suite, and it was the most relaxing and tranquil stay we ever had. Extremely clean, spacious room and well-kept at all times. Everything looked really new when we were there. The beds were extremely comfortable. The charm design was awesome. What a stunning view of the incredibly serene, fresh pool and greenish atmosphere we had from our room! Everything was close to nature, including the outdoor shower and bathtub in our spacious bathroom. The breakfast was excellent and really good, and it had a selection of English and traditional Sri Lankan cuisine to indulge in, as well as fresh fruits and juices. It was even better than expected. We would definitely stay there again.

My experience with Hotel Ceylon Olive left me utterly disappointed and frustrated. After booking a room through Agoda and receiving a confirmed reservation (agoda booking id 1065369997), I was shocked to receive an email from Agoda three days later, stating that the hotel had abruptly canceled my reservation. Their reason? They wanted to upsell the room for a higher price. This blatant bait-and-switch tactic is both unethical and unprofessional. As a customer, I had trusted Agoda's confirmation and made travel plans based on it. Their cancellation which came after 3 days of a confirmed reservation not only inconvenienced me greatly but also showcased the hotel's complete disregard for customer loyalty. It's disheartening to see a hotel take advantage of their guests in such a manner. To make matters worse, I reached out to the hotel's management via email, expressing my concerns and seeking a resolution, but I have not received any response from them, despite sending a reminder email. This complete lack of communication highlights their poor customer service and adds another layer of disappointment to this unfortunate experience. I strongly advise travelers to exercise caution when considering Hotel Ceylon Olive. Their actions demonstrate a lack of integrity, a willingness to prioritize profits over customer satisfaction, and a severe deficiency in their customer service. This experience has left a bitter taste, and I would think twice before booking with them again.

Большая приватная вилла, супер удобная кровать, спокойное место. Вокруг природа, вид с балкона на деревья, балийская атмосфера. Очень понравился завтрак: вкусный, сытный и разнообразный. Чисто, хороший интернет, есть бассейн. В общем, все супер, от души рекомендую.
