佛羅里達蓋恩斯維爾萬怡飯店(Courtyard Gainesville FL)

Stayed for one night, booked two rooms for my family. The location is convenient as it is close to other stores like Target and other diners. Rooms were clean and had basic amenities but there is no microwave. Expected more from this hotel but the staff who checked in us could be more professional and friendly. One of our room pass card wasn’t working so had to go downstairs. Staff charged me twice so I’m still waiting for it to get corrected. Manager and staff when we checked out were very professional and assured me the payment would be fixed, so I hope it will happen soon. Overall, it was average.

We had a great experience and visit.

Service experience was excellent. Hotel had recently been remodeled and some of the finishes were not excellent but it was clean and about what you would expect from a Courtyard Marriot. Did not like that the food and coffee options in the morning only consisted of a Starbucks. $10 for coffee and a bagel was not a good way to start the day. Personally would have preferred to pay more for the room and have some food options like most other hotels in this price range. The wait at the Starbucks was too long given the staff size.

Between the construction and rude front desk manager, Angela, it was a terrible experience. Will not go back here. They were having construction which you would expect to be done during the day and not sawing and hammering at 9pm. We had to call and ask them to stop. Then when speaking to the front desk manager about it. She didn’t care at all. She didn’t apologize for the inconvenience or anything. Wouldn’t give refund or anything. I book about 15 rooms a month mostly with Marriott. I will remember this. Her rudeness was the final straw.

Upon check-in, the staff was not friendly. They did not tell me about any amenities, or about the lounge hours and food available. I could see there was some construction going on when I arrives, they are getting a new roof. After I got to the room, I put on my bathing suit to relax by the pool. The pool is closed. Construction. The room was a bit gross. no cleaning under the beds or behind the furniture. (my phone fell behind the nightstand) there were dead palmetto bugs, fingernail clippings. I will never stay here again. Disappointed, to say the least. I did call ahead for early check in, and there was no mention of construction. Nothing on the hotes.com website either.

There was a lot of construction that woke us up earlier than we wanted to get up. Our key didn’t work half the time and had to go to front desk to get it repaired. Room was very clean and bed was comfortable.

The front desk staff were terrific!
