皮卡迪利飯店(Hotel Piccadilly)

This hotel was a delight: Large rooms, comfy bed, professional staff and gratis healthy hot breakfast (I.e. no fake juice; good selection fresh foods offered in their restaurant). This is a hidden gem at a very favorable price point. Also, the heater/air conditioner is independent in each room so you can adjust the room temperature to your liking...Quiet and easy to use.

The big dark hair girl at front desk seems to make her own rules up as she goes. She told us we could not check in early and then had us wait 3 hours to just tell us they do jot take our credit cards even though we already paid 3 nights on trip.com. I asked to speak to manager but she lied and said there was no Mgr that day. Horrible.

I first visited this hotel in 2018. In 2022, this hotel is suffering a little from the aftermath of the pandemic. The rooms are spacious, the bed comfortable, 3 chairs in the room, one office type, one straight chair and one easy chair, plus a work table. Mini-fridge in the room. Garden-facing rooms have a pleasant view. There were some minor deferred maintenance issues. No daily maid service, a Covid innovation that should be reversed, IMHO. The pre-pandemic excellent breakfast has now been reduced to a minimal "grab 'n go" bag. The 4 employees I encountered were friendly and helpful. The room rate on Trip.com was reduced appropriately given the reduced service.

A nice location and rooms a quite bigger.

While certain areas of the room was showing its age, the heating/cooling has been updated; it was clean and the bed was great. The hallways/exterior doors need help. The check-in and parking was very easy. However!!! The restaurant/full bar had a phenomenal menu and really great food!

The carpet outside the bathroom was soaking wet. They offered to move me but I was already unpacked and undressed. Something like a mosquito bit me several times. They didn’t provide any bottled water. The doors slamming in the hallway were very loud. I liked Marco the bartender. He did everything while others stood around chatting.

The atmosphere is friendly and safe though the decor is dated, and sound proofing is a bit lame. Certain amenities such as the exercise room and pool, could definitly use a refresh/maint but this place is a great deal at around $100 (though there are many types of rooms) that includes breakfast.
