RIVERDALE度假村(Riverdale Resort)

Drove 10 hours through a snowstorm to stay here as I have an appoin**ent the next morning in the vicinity. Called 8 times - 8 times! - during the day to try to find out how late check-in can be as the only indication is that it starts at 3 pm. Each time there was no answer, a voicemail response picked up and there was no more room in the voicemail to leave a message. Finally arrived at 7 pm to a completely empty motel with zero cars in the lot - no guests and no staff? Everything was closed. Anticipating problems, I managed to maintain enough range to get to Sudbury as needed and did - rented a hotel for twice the price and now need to drive back to Alban in the morning. It's a veritable scam.

Beautiful island resort on the french river. Stayed for 3 night and was not disappointed. Staff were extremely friendly and professional and the cabins were just rustic enough with new appliances, comfy beds and a screened in porch to keep away the bugs and night. Will definitely be returning. It is also pet friendly resort. I highly recommend.

Take a good look at the BBB and other reviews outside Tripadvisor, this facility has a bad reputation how they handle their business. Very shady and very disrespectful towards their guests. The accommodations are below par, don't waste your hard earned money on this place unless you would like to stay in an overpriced and subpar cottage or room that has a multitude of unresolved issues. Their answer is we're on it when in reality they aren't. The place is NOT clean and I wouldn't even try to eat there knowing fair well the staff doesn't know how to properly clean their facilities, it wouldn't surprise me they're using the same rag they cleaned the cottage's/hotel bathroom with and clean the counters and tables as it's what they did for ours.

Very nice room. Bed was so comfy, we had to ***** the bed and take a pic so we can buy our own. Loved the restaurant on site. Coffee in the room was delicous too. Manager was super nice. I would recommend they get curtains that acutally cover the window. Bathroom had some tiles that need work and broken fan. Also room was quite dark, needed a few more lamps. Over all, 4 out of 5.

We booked a 3 bedroom cottage to attend a family member’s birthday celebration. Very pleasantly surprised with the newly renovated cottage. Everything needed for a pleasant stay. Restaurant prepared a buffet dinner to accommodate our large group. Great pizzas were prepared for a late evening snack. Restaurant open early for a hearty breakfast before returning home. I would definitely recommend this destination

Great rooms and lovely staff. The restaurant opened early and had delicious and affordable breakfast options! Our room had a beautiful view of the French River.

For the price the room was sufficient for 2. Wish there was a deck area at the back of the building to sit and enjoy the water. Each cottage had a fire pit but the other rooms only had a front deck. Watching the highway. The only suggestion I made was they they shorten the curtain that hung over the air conditioner (right beside the bed so a little noisy). Had to keep it open to keep the room cool. So early morning light right beside the bed.

Amazing stay at this beautiful resort! I had lower expectations and they were easily exceeded by this wonderful place! I had thought that since this was the only hotel that would take us in the area, that we were just getting whatever we could for the night. I didn't expect such a lovely dock/waterfront, or such an enjoyable restaurant experience! Our room was beautiful and newly renovated as well! We're already considering another trip here next year. Thanks Riverdale Resort and staff!
