Good location close to the town but it's not a cottage ! but a tin building. Not much space . Patio and chair look surely on to next cottage no space between. View good and restaurant neR but overall really disappointed with accommodation. Bed pillows smelt although bedding clean carpet stained

Comfortable and quiet in a good location for restaurants snd attractions. The cottages are a bit close together so the sitting area is confined but they are well equipped with excellent bathrooms

Lovely motel cottage up the back of town, only a short distance to town and many local walks. The staff could not have been more helpful and provided a town map on arrival with recommendations for restaurants and walks. The room itself was a good size with a small kitchenette and functional bathroom with good water pressure. The little balcony out the front provided a good spot to have lunch or read a book when it wasn't raining, with views over the surrounding mountains. Parking spaces were allocated for all cottages. This was the perfect place to base ourselves for 3 nights while we explored Franz Josef and Fox Glacier.

It was an adorable cottage. Plenty of room and very comfy. Also very quiet so I could hear the birds. Check in was easy and staff very friendly. Gave good local suggestions. Would definitely stay again.

Great cabin located in the heart of Franz Joseph. We stayed in the 2 bedroom cabin which was located away from the other cottages. The amenities in the cottage was great and the beds were really comfortable. There was even a large BBQ to cook on if one desired!

Nice cottage. Big negative is the high heat in the room during summer, since there is no AC, an electric fan should have been provided. Keeping windows open takes a long time to cool the room.

Not much for dining. They close way before they say. The rooms are fantastic though. I suggest picking up food to cook in the room that has a grocery store before heading into the pass.

Great location for both Fran’s Joseph and Fox glaciers. Nearby restaurants and pubs and grocery store. Front desk staff warm and welcoming. Our cottage was comfortable. There were heated blankets and portable heaters if you were cold.

Great little group of cottages that are close to everything. View of the mountains from inside. Comfy and compact. for our one night stay it was perfect and well priced.

Really loved these cottages. Plenty of room for me and my husband. Rainforest behind and a view of the mountains from the deck and the bed. Laundry and bbq area available as well and very quiet. Staff were friendly, room was clean and they were fine with us arriving late. There's a cool walk 2 minutes away to an old tunnel with glow worms inside.

Lovely location. We had the Mountain View cottage (no 1). The little cottage was very clean, well appointed with kitchen items, good heating, lovely sheets and towels. The little veranda was so nice to have to sit and see the views. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Cottage number 4 was very comfortable with a super view. I wish we could have stayed longer and explored the area but for an overnight stop it was great.

Nice location, and good to sit out on the veranda in the evening with a beer and look at the mountains. Close to a lovely walk in the rainforest upto Tatare Tunnel. Close to restaurants only a couple of minutes walk.
