Wunderschönes Hotel. Zimmer sehr sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Service freundlich und bemüht. Frühstück fein. Umgebung traumhaft

Das Hotel besteht aus einem neueren und einem älteren Teil. Im älteren Teil haben die Zimmer einen Holzboden, im neueren einen kahlen Betonboden, der Flecken aufweist. Vor dem Zimmer hatten wir einen umzäunten Sitzplatz mit eigenem, kleinen Pool. Das Zimmer ist gut eingerichtet, hat aber weder Kühlschrank noch Safe. Genügend Elektroanschlüsse, Beleuchtung im Bad ist ungenügend. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und sehr schön präsentiert. Nette Bedienung

It was very cold and wet and the rooms were extremely cold. my daughter borrowed one of my jackets and it became wet so she hanged it and it got left behind. Nobody phoned me to tell me something was left behind. When we got home and I asked het for my jacket we realised it stayed behind, I phoned, a gentleman went to check and said he found it and they will keep it until I can send a courier to pick it up. A month went by because August was such a hectic month for us because of several reasons that I asked a courier group to pick it up on Friday 6 September 2024. I phoned the hotel and a lady by the name of Abigail said yes it is there and the group can come and pick it up. Needless to say when the group arrived twice the jacket it gone. My daughter left a charger in Oude Werf Hotel in Stellenbosch I we are not 30 minutes gone when someone phoned Us to say the charger was left behind. Big difference, between two Hotels. I will not recommend Chapter House Boutique Hotel to anybody!!!!

Parkplatz viehanden, ruhige Lage. Der Empfang war freundlich, das Zimmer gemütlich. Das Frühstück sehr gut, der Kaffee hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Es war immer jemand für uns da! Eine kleine Kritik: das WLAN / WIFI ist sehr instabil. Wir dürften unser Gepäck bei Ankunft und auch Abreise unterstellen. Ein Ort , um sich wohl zu fühlen.

Franschhoek gehört zu unserem Urlaub in Südafrika einfach dazu und der Aufenthalt im Chapter House sowieso. Das neue Gebäude im Garten ist fast fertig und wir durften es mit Byron ansehen. Auch diese Zimmer sind wunderbar, genauso wie alles andere im Chapter House. Vielen Dank für einen weiteren, tollen Aufenthalt, bis zum nächsten Mal!

We had an incredible stay! Nelson made our friend’s birthday incredibly memorable and special during our 3 night stay. We were treated very well and the room with the pool was great! Jay B helped us out with our requests and made our experience really welcoming and hospitable. Everything you need for a stay in Franschhoek. It’s centrally located with an easy walk to restaurants, shops and art galleries. Highly recommend!

Great location two blocks from the main restaurant/ shopping area. A gentle period hotel, once a church (Chapter House), then a school and now a boutique hotel with a small swimming pool. Lovely welcoming atmosphere. The staff can’t do enough for you ( including lifting wheelchairs down some of the external and internal steps). Wesley was especially attentive to our every need. Always smiling. Always around when we needed him. But ALL the staff were delightful. The rooms were very clean and well appointed - there is the ‘school’ side and a new modern ‘annex’ to the hotel. We stayed in the ‘school’ side. Beds very comfy. Great night’s sleep. Large bathrooms with walk in shower + large bath. Internet TV. Coffee and tea making. Little treats left on the pillows and desk. This is a quiet retreat. Quaint. It is the kind of hotel you would re-book on another occasion.

We loved our 3 nights stay at Chapter House. Our room in the original house was large, clean, and very well appointed. The friendly staff were always there to help with our many inquiries. The position is perfect, just a couple of minutes walk from the main street.

My family my wife and I spent three wonderful nights in Chapter House. The atnosphere was very inviting. We received a very warm and personal welcome by one of the managers. The rooms are spacious, beautifully equipped, and spotlessly clean. All members of staff were very kind and certainly ready to help when we needed information. The breakfast was excellent. We enjoyed every minute of our stay in Chapter House Boutique Hotel. Thank you for all your kindness.

We moved to Chapter House Boutique Hotel after deciding to change accommodation during our time in Franschhoek, and it proved to be an excellent decision. From the moment we arrived, the welcome from Nelson and his team set the tone — warm, genuine, and highly professional. There is a clear emphasis on guest experience and it shows in every interaction. The team are exceptionally well trained, and having experienced another property within the same group, there is a noticeable consistency in service standards and attention to detail. Our room was excellent — large, bright, modern, and spotlessly clean, with tasteful décor and a very comfortable, spacious bathroom. Small touches such as a modern TV with full streaming capability added to the overall comfort of the stay. Breakfast was also a highlight, with a proper menu offering a range of freshly prepared options rather than a basic buffet. The pool area is well maintained and relaxing, and the on-site spa and beauty treatments were very much enjoyed. What really sets this property apart, however, is the level of personal service. Two examples stood out: • When I asked about having my shoes cleaned ahead of a wedding, Nelson personally went out of his way to source leather balm and had them returned in excellent condition — far beyond what I would have expected. • When we were arranging our onward travel to Cape Town, the team proactively assisted in securing accommodation at another property within their group, making the transition seamless. These are small but meaningful gestures that reflect a genuine commitment to guest care. Overall, this was a standout experience and a very positive end to our time in Franschhoek. We would not hesitate to return and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Chapter House Hotel in South Africa is a fantastic place to stay, offering a great location with easy access to all the amenities in town. The rooms are comfortable and well-equipped, providing everything you need for a relaxing visit. What really stands out is the incredibly friendly and helpful staff, who go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Highly recommended.

We made and prepaid the booking one month in advance, but at the check-in we were informed that the hotel was fully booked for the night and they organised our stay at another place. So we had to drive three more kilometres away from the city centre to a place with a completely different atmosphere from the one that we chose for our stay in Franschhoek. It was a totally disappointing experience with no explanation or prior notification from the Hotel.
