Been visiting Fort William for over 20 years I was absolutely disgusted to find out that this establishments took my booking took my money confirmed the booking and wouldn’t let me stay with my 5 year old grandson. I booked one bed in a mixed dorm only to be told I was being dishonest. And not telling them I had a child even tho I informed them 3 times. They put us out on the street screamed at me to leave the property. Sent abusive txts no child should be forced to sleep in a single bed with other adults. Lucky escape absolute joke

The staff here are great. However the building is in need of care. The facilities are looking very tired. Broken drawers in the kitchen. Limited food storage space. The drying room but a cluttered room with spare cleaning supplies and the clean laundry and doesn’t really dry things well at all. There isn’t enough space for the number of guests to sit and eat. The room however was quiet. All in all it was ok but I wouldn’t rush back.

Absolutely perfect base for walking or spending time in fort william. Beds were comfy - lovely pillows, mattress and quilt which really helped to give us the much needed restorative sleep we needed on arrival. The rooms were clean and the showers lovely and hot. Planning on coming again and will 100 % be coming back. Thank you!

What an amazing youth hostel, clean, they have everything you need, it’s right by the Neptunes staircase. Staff are all amazing! They were friendly, helpful and all round 5*. Booking is as straightforward, communication was also great. We are looking to return next year.

My family of 6 (including children ages 9-16) had a wonderful experience! It was very easy to walk to from the Banavie train station. We also enjoyed wonderful views of Ben Nevis and found it easy to walk to the Caol beach. We slept well, and the location was excellent.

Not far from Fort William. Hostel in a traditional house with common bathrooms. A bit messy, just the right comfort, with basic rooms and services. Self service breakfast could have been better. Few parking lots in from of the house but a lot of free spaces in the car park 50m away.

Booked here as a starting point for the great glen canoe trail even let us store our 3 kayaks ,staff where great , room was clean ,very basic but it’s a budget hostel , Location wise there is a bistro /bar two min walk away and a pub 5 minutes away . Would recommend this place and would stay again

Great location close to Ben Nevis, check in was swift, staff were really helpful. The layout of the hostel is great with a brilliant chill out room and dining area. Kitchen is a good size and felt like being at home. Bedroom sizes were good with cleaning bedding provided. We were a group of 11 and really enjoyed our stay here. We highly recommend Chase the Wild Goose and will be back here in future, hopefully very soon.

Had a 4 bed (2 bunk bed) private room for 2 nights. Toilets and showers were shared but there were enough for people to use (some separate showers from toilets, some separate toilets, some combined) all areas were clean beds were comfy enough (certainly better than expected) staff were so friendly and helpful. Fresh linen and absolutely perfect location with parking (limited) out front but other parking very close by. Would stay again for sure!
