舒茲伯利艾拜頓大廳美居水療飯店(Mercure Shrewsbury Albrighton Hall Hotel & Spa)

On arrival I discovered a mouse in my room! There was initially some uncertainty about being able to move me to an alternative room when I reported this as the hotel was 'fully booked' but after some gentle persuasion I was moved, and the staff were very apologetic.

Room unclean, bathroom disgusting, hair all over the shower. Shiwer wouldnt drain which didnt matter because there was no hot water to use! No Wifi, obviously complained, helpful young man from front desk came and cleaned bathroom somewhat. But no hot water or wifi. The four of us went to the bar for dinner because restaurant was fully booked food took forever and the quality of 3 out if the 4 people eating was not good, simple burgers where way overdone, dry with cold chips. The curry was like microwave dinner. Was very disappointed. Yes i understand that it was busy but we where still paying full price with poor quality food and slow services. We didnt see any management presence. Place looks tired and in need of leadership and investment

Generally clean, although dated the hotel itself was comfortable. However, the restaurant stop serving early (this was notified before, but i think it was too early), the bar closed early - this i was not notified about before or during my visit, and although i registered a card i could not charge the drinks we did order to my room, the breakfast staff were very rude and all saunas and steam rooms were accompanied with a banging noise (from pipes i imagine) that was not the calming experience it should be! I would not recommend staying here.

Didn’t feel like much of a spa. Hot tub was out of order and spa showers smelt bad and area felt dirty. Food took over 1.5 hour to arrive after ordering and wine after food. Food was very average, small portions of dry meat and cost £20 for a this. Staff were polite and apologised for the delay. Felt that the wine should have been taken off the bill as I’d mostly finished my food by the time it arrived. Prepare your expectations and don’t get excited about the “spa”.

Lovely old Hall and beautiful surroundings. Building is old so can be bit dated when look closely but that's what u expect. Drinks and food overpriced though. Superior room was ok bit small though not a lot of space in the room tbh.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was great with a lovely view over the lake. It was very quiet and the room was lovely and warm with a very comfortable bed. Everything was clean and apart from a hairdryer in the room all was fine. Perhaps a hairdryer could be obtained via reception, did not need it for the time we stayed.

We stayed at this wonderful hotel... for my husbands birthday , from start to finish, they couldn't do enough for us the reception staff were so lovely and friendly and so helpful... The spar was so relaxing with a fantastic coffee machine 😅 The food and restaurant was incredible the highest of standards , The bar man couldn't do enough for us and was so helpful and very good at his customer services, he had dark spiky hair not tall... black shirt and trousers... he needs a pay rise 👏😅 everyone was so polite and friendly, I find many places do not have the level of customer service like these guys do... thank you for making our stay amazing... We will definitely be back 👏😀

A tired hotel in need of some TLC. Reception desks needed smartening up and gave a sad initial impression of the inside of the hotel. Not all of the outside lights worked and we missed the signs for reception. We stayed in the School Master's House which was noisey. We could hear others showering and our floor squeeked so we felt sorry for those below us. The room was was of a decent size and bed was comfortable. Shower pulsed. Breakfast was adequate and expensive for what it was. Spa was fine. The outside of the house is lovely as are the grounds. This could be a stunning hotel.
