Travelodge by Wyndham Florence

I want to first state that everything everyone posted was true. But as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. In my instance, I was looking for a cheap weekend stay for the Darlington race. The good? 1. The price. 2. The woman at the front desk was very nice and accommodating. 3. McDonalds right there, Waffle House and a couple gas stations. So you won't starve. The bad? 1. Roaches (I think they were roaches) were in the bed when we got there. Saw them throughout the weekend here and there. 2. Room was very dirty. Towels were clean but smelled like feet. 3. The toilet seat was broken. 4. Strong **** smell from someone below us. 5. The pool is black. Like literally pitch black. And while I'm not 100% sure, I think some type of creature lives in it. The place appeared to be more a month to month rental than a normal hotel. One room had 5 cats that we could tell.so.guessing they were long term residents. Another had tons of potted plants hanging up. There were others there for the race who stated they had bugs, too, in their rooms. One couple left early to stay somewhere else. So it wasn't just us. The set up of the hotel is very bizarre in the odd numbered rooms are the only ones visible from the parking lot. If you are assigned an even numbered room, you have to walk into the courtyard to access the room. The area, itself, seems a bit sketchy but didn't have any issues during the weekend with anyone causing us problems. Two women were arguing at the McDonald's (and appeared like they were going to throw down) and we could hear it from our room but that was it for drama. This is a place that should be rented only if you are looking to stay cheap and don't mind what I posted above. I am giving it 3 only because of the woman at the front desk who was extremely polite and accommodating. I wish others were like her. But the rooms are dirty and things are what they are.

Une de mes pires expériences d’hébergement de voyage à vie. Aucune compréhension de la part de l’administration de l’hôtel. Nous nous sommes arrêtés lors de notre route vers la Floride. Si c’est aussi votre cas, continuez! Vous serez mieux à dormir dans votre auto ou même dans un parc que dans cet établissement! Lors de notre arrivée (le soir donc devrait être OK), la chambre qu’on nous a donné n’était pas nettoyée. La deuxième chambre « était nettoyée » selon les employés qui me l’ont recommandée. À peine entrée, j’ai vu des petits mouvements sur la plancher. Pas de problème, ils ce sont cachés sous le lit. Par contre, en faisant le tour, L’HORREUR est apparue. Derrière le rideau il y avait beaucoup de croquerelle (cafards / blattes) appelez-les comme vous voulez, c’était dans tous les cas, horrible. La toilette était tout pourrie aussi. Il était évidant qu’on ne logerait pas en famille avec de jeunes enfants ici. Je suis retourné à la réception un autre fois, mais cette fois pour leur dire que l’ont veut un remboursement puisque aucune chambre n’est disponibles si l’ont considère que la chambre infestée ne peut se qualifier. L’employé semblait comprendre, surtout lorsque j’avais des photos à l’appui. Elle m’a dit que je serais rembourser… NE LES CROYEZ SURTOUT PAS!! Je n’ai jamais reçu le remboursement, ils ont prétexté qu’il fallait attendre un moment puisque c’était acheté à travers Expédia. J’ai donc poursuivi notre chemin. Après 10 jours rien alors je commence le processus avec Expédia. Ils ont appelé le manager de l’hôtel et celui-ci a « décidé de s’en tenir à la politique originale de non remboursement ». Quel arnaque! On peut réserver un hôtel qui montre des photos de chambre qui doivent dater de plusieurs années lors de la rénovation d’une des chambres sans problème, mais si je désire annuler une réservation pour des causes d’insalubrité extrême, je dois m’en tenir à la clause de non-remboursement! Je suis aussi arrêté lorsque nous étions sur notre chemin de retour, un des employés était extrêmement déplaisant et n’avait même pas de considération envers notre cas en se déchargeant complètement disant que le manager n’était pas présent. Par contre, avec ça façon de me laisser avec son collègue pour prendre en note mes informations, je soupçonne qu’il était peut-être effectivement le manager et jouait le jeu. J’ai expliqué poliment ma situation et l’appel d’******* pour que la prochaine fois qu’ils appellent ils puisse connaître mon cas et répondre positivement à *******. Un deuxième appel est fait… et j’obtiens la même réponse! Alors, je vous confirme, cette établissement est de mauvaise fois et ne fera rien pour vous aider!!!! La suite pour nous? Je vais me plaindre à la compagnie mère Wyndham. Je considère que cet établissement est là seulement pour flouer les voyageurs et on essaiera d’éviter d’autres stress.

Peu propre en arrivant dans la chambre j,ai pu observer des croquerelles ( blattes ) qui se promenaient sur le plancher...pas vraiment réconfortant Très vieillot et peu entretenue. Dommage l'hôtel est bien située près de l'autoroute

This trip was fun and needed to not spend too much. The room was clean and a great price. The staff was so welcoming and had great customer service. The staff helped me with more towels and other toilet articles.

Dirty property, clean water was not available the first day of my trip, roaches in the room, very unhelpful staff that quite frankly did not have a clue what was going on, had to wait 4 hours to check in because the staff were “running an errand for a guest” honestly one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. ******* was not much help in the process either. Stay far away from this property, it is not worth your time even for a cheap stay.

The man at the front desk was friendly and accommodating. The price was good, the room comfortable, and it was quiet.

Roaches, stains on every thing from bed sheets, to curtains, and I the towels and rags even the toilet and tub there was no breakfast everything felt firstly and dusty the door frame on the bathroom was broken like someone kicked it in

Sadly, we walked into the room and immediately out. The room and bathroom smelled. Because of the overall shabby look of the place, I peeled back the sheets and mattress cover. The mattress was visibly soiled. We left immediately.
