蘭德豪斯飯店(Hotel Landhaus)

The Hotel is generally really quite lovely. The included breakfast is the same everyday and pretty good all round. The rooms are about what you’d expect for a three star hotel - nothing fancy but clean and everything you need. My only issue was the Wifi which was really quite bad - constantly turning off and on made it really frustrating to get any work or streaming done.

This 3 star hotel punches much above its ratings. The rooms are very well appointed, with contemporary furniture, very comfortable beds, spacious, and well equipped. Excellent toilet and shower facilities. All well above what you would expect for a 3 star hotel. The restaurant serves a good breakfast, and the evening menu is excellent. All aur meals were delicious, with a Swiss menu with a Mexican twist. The staff were very friendly, and the Director has a quirky sense of humour! Perfectly central location, close to the rail station We hope to be back next year

Zu kleine Duschen, kein platz für Toilettenartikel, Toiletten unten im Restaurationsbereich, dreckig,toilettenpapier am boden, uringestank, Das Essen lässt zu wünschen übrig. Der Service ist unfreundlich. Beim bezahlen wurde bereits 2 mal zu meinen Ungunsten abgerechnet. Die Küche ist leider nicht gut.

Avons passé plusieurs séjours entre 6 et 7 jours, toujours parfaits tant pour la qualité du personnel, des repas toujours adaptés à nos demandes. Ps. Le parking n’est pas gratuit mais 10.— pour 24 heures inclus pour Gstaad. La chambre sur le devant très cosy . On y revient en2024

TV only in German, but apparently the French and/or English prigrams were there but had to search for them very far in the 300's.

We stayed for 2 nights in mid-May 2023. The hotel is just a five to seven minute walk from the Saanan Train Station and one station before Gstaad, if you come from Geneva, as we did. We reached around 9 pm in the evening and were allotted room 21, which is the room with the balcony on the 2nd floor; ( you will notice from the hotel photo), is perhaps one of the best rooms, being a corner room with balcony and lovely views. The dinner was just a vegan burger and a salad. Adequate. The bedrooms were entirely timbered, comfortable with sufficient storage and in-room heating from a radiator, placed under the front window. Toilet was a bit small and no bathroom slippers were provided. We requested but was told as it was a 3 star property, hence they did not provide it. Breakfast was the usual continental, with the hot items being only boiled eggs and choice of coffee/tea. Rest was cold meat, fruit, cereals, cheese and bread. Not the best which we have had, but acceptable. A few more hot choices especially in the eggs choice or sausages would have helped. There was only 1 lady who was looking after the breakfast area, the restaurant and the reception. Perhaps, because of low occupancy. However, what I wish to compliment the hotel staff about, was their help and co-operation in forwarding some clothes which we had mistakenly left behind. We connected with the hotel the very evening after we left and they confirmed that they had them. Their cost was not much but they had an emotional connect with us. We asked them to keep them with them till we could decide the way forward. As luck would have it, some family members are visiting Switzerland at the time of writing this review (in early July 2023) and staying for a few days in Bern. The staff, on our request, packed and sent the stuff to the Bern hotel after coordinating with the Bern hotel, on phone. They never asked us for any payment though we were willing to pay for it. This is outstanding customer service.

Funky parking. Small lot nearby was full and the public parking garage isn’t convenient. It’s free overnight but the meter starts ticking at 8am. My room had really inconvenient place to plug in and charge -everything had to be on the floor. Weird that in this day and age a hotel would make it so inconvenient. Nice people though and a nice room
