I called Fairfield just 24 hours before our arrival and specifically asked about breakfast start time. I was told 6am for my stay (I was planning to stay the very next day so there’s no room for confusion). My son needed to be someplace at 7am and I said that. I was assured breakfast was at 6am. I checked in and was told breakfast starts at 7am. That was upsetting because the 6am breakfast was the reason I chose this hotel for our one-night stay.
Also only upon check-in, I was told the pool was closed for repairs. I’d asked about the pool prior to booking my room which was 24 hours before my stay. I was told the pool was open.
Upon entering our room, we immediately smelled a strange, strong smell. But we were told there were no other rooms available.
We shut off the lights to go to sleep and realized the fire alarm above our beds had two green lights flashing like a strobe light. We couldn’t get it to stop. So all night long we had green lights flashing at us.
Other than the smell, the room seemed clean.
