蘇格蘭迪斯提尼公寓 - 切赫姆亨特套房(Destiny Scotland - Chisholm Hunter Suites)

This is our 3rd stay with Destiny in Edinburgh. Situated on Princes street its right in the heart of the action. The apartment was very well equipped and spotless, nice comfy bed and a modern bathroom. It is across from the gardens and boasts an incredible view of the castle, my fiancée loved sitting in the full height windows with a glass of wine watching all types of people going about their day. We checked in after 7pm ( although we could of checked in at 3pm ) and noticed the toilet flush was broken , my partner rung the out of hours helpline and it was fixed within 15 minutes ( fantastic service ) Please be aware that there are a lot of steps up to the apartments and there isn't a lift. We highly recommend these apartments

We had a really lovely stay at the apartment, prime location, very enjoyable and festive time to stay in the heart of Edinburgh. However we felt disappointed on arrival, we travelled from Gatwick and arrived at 9am on a cold rainy morning. Myself and my husband asked if the office staff could possibly request an earlier check in, we appreciate our original check in time was 3pm but previous guests would have checked out at 11am. My husband had just had his cancer treatment 2 days prior and we were looking forward to a relaxing break in a luxury apartment which we had paid well over £200 per night for, we felt the staff did not go out of their way at all to accommodate for us. This was not the start we hoped for.

This apartment was just perfect! Big spacious sitting room and bedroom, beautiful view right in the centre of town of the Castle. All the beautiful original features like sash windows, carved shutters and high ceiling made you realise you were in the Burg. Access to the apartment was very straight forward. All amenities you would need. Power shower and modern bathroom was fab, good quality shower and hair products. Very clean and comfortable bed, very quiet too considering we were in the throes of the city. I would most certainly stay here again. The apartment felt very safe with modern locks and fire doors, great attention to detail on this. It felt cosy and comfortable. Decent choice in Edinburgh - stayed for 4 nights with my husband and 4 year old. We stayed in apt 2. 1) Location - EXCELLENT- very central. Close to the train station so walking there with all your bags is not terribly onerous. Right across from the park that has a playground which is fun for kids. Easy to get to all the top attractions around. Backs up to Rose St. which has lots of food options. 2) Staff- GOOD- they were available to promptly and courteously answer questions via email. It was slightly inconvenient to not have staff on site like a hotel, but obviously that is known before booking. Consider storing your luggage at the train station is 15 pounds/bag, so that can get kind of expensive vs. booking with a hotel and getting free 24 hr storage. You have to go to their office to store luggage and that is not always open. 3) ROOM- GOOD- very nice and spacious with nice views of the castle. Loved the washer- perfect for a long trip. We were able to go home with all clean clothes. Loved being able to cook breakfast and a few dinners. Nice bathrooms with good water pressure. The queen mattress was absolutely terrible- divots and dips all over the place. It was very hard to get a good night's sleep in there. My husband ended up sleeping on the couch as it was more comfortable. They also gave us 2 sets of towels only- It would be nice to have a few spare sets just because Edinburgh is so humid that the towels didn't fully dry out even with the towel warmer and got musty. We were able to wash them though! I also stored a few delicate souvenirs on top of the armoire to keep them out of the hands of my toddler- when I pulled them down they were covered in dust as the top had not been cleaned in ages. I couldn't see that. Very solid choice for travelers looking for some extra space with some home like amenities.

So I've stayed with this chain of apartments in Edinburgh a number of times. Usually great. This time was horrendous. I appreciate due to covid and Brexit the service industry has been decimated due to lack of staff however what i experienced should not go down as lack of available cleaning staff, its a total lack of care and basic attention to health. One of the pillows on the bed i discovered was covered in blood..... yes blood, someone else's blood and not mine. How anyone could have changed the pillow case without noticing is totally beyond me. i pointed this out, they offered to send 'cleaning staff' (the irony) to change but i checked out. I'm sorry but i won't stay in this chain again. unacceptable. i certify i stayed in this room, i paid for 2 night but left the next day and that photo is one i took.

We had an end of week three night break in Edinburgh. The suite was easy to find, very central and stunning views (even though the windows needed a good clean). We found the keyless entry easy and the layout and facilities within ideal. Lots of eateries and bars close by. Would recommend and will return. Thank you

Great location , nice apartment with good facilities, lots of stairs though so not for those with mobility issues

Overall a really lovely apartment. Tastefully furnished and well equipped. Comfy bed. Yes there are stairs but not really a problem unless you have mobility issues. Our apartment had a lovely view of the castle. Fantastic location. My one problem was the noise of the traffic throughout the night. We were in apartment 4 on the corner and the lovely sash windows in the bedroom appear to be single glazed so felt like we were sleeping with the window open noise wise. Uses cars trams even road sweepers. Even my ear plugs didn’t help. I would recommend possibly apartment 5 next door??? Otherwise a great apartment in a great location.

Spotlessly clean, everything you would need , fantastic views of the castle, right in the heart of everything. The road is slightly noisy but worth putting up with. The facilities in the apartment were second to none , even down to a washing up sponge. Only downside was the stairs try and get the first floor, apartment 1 looks out at the castle. Great stay would recommend this over all else.
