Very dated and old fashioned. Safe does not work, not good when you have passports and valuables with you. No bar or restaurant in the hotel, you have to walk through a very dark uneven car park, not good when you are booked in for dinner and it’s pouring down. Overpriced for the condition of the room

In Executive double & only difference from standard double was size of bed, so not worth the extra money & very basic. Very stuffy, upstairs built into the roof & air con not working. Told not been working since Covid & also told by manageress that they have no air con. but it is advertised with air con??? No fan available on 1st night, but manageress said she would get one next day & put in room. This didn't happen, so really uncomfortable. 2 bath towels. but only one hand towel for 2? Carpets dirty round edges. Bath side panel broken, dirty. bent in. Shower too powerful & slippery bath to stand on. Only 4 hangers in wardrobe. Grumpy, rude night staff when we were late back from a party & our door cards did not work. Lied to & told they only last so long & also said expected all guests to be in bed. I'm 74 yrs old, not 4!!! we were quiet. Room staff went in 2nd day & left the heated bathroom towel rail on & bathroom door open adding to the stuffiness. Hair dryer didn't work.

I would like to extend my gratitude to yourself and staff for the impressive service levels I have witnessed over the last few days. Ellington Lodge at The Concorde is situated in an excellent location ideally suited for my needs. I have observed the Staff to display high-quality service levels on all occasions. The staff at reception are most welcoming and helpful. I received a warm and friendly welcome by helpful and informative staff every day. The restaurant staff are friendly, engaging and attentive. The Cleaning staff are efficient and courteous. The rooms were warm and clean with everything I required for my stay.   Overall I found my stay an excellent experience and great value for money  Special thank you to Sue Hotel Manger and Emma at Reception.

We stayed overnight at Ellington Lodge as we went to an 80s night at the Concorde Club. The hotel is a bit dated but very clean. Our room lacked plug sockets, there were two sockets, one was taken up by the TV. Not convenient for charging mobile phones but not the end of the world. The curtains are next to useless, ours covered the window but without any lining it was no darker having them shut over being open. The bathroom was spotless and the shower pressure was very good. Breakfast is in another building and is very good quality. We were pre-warned by others that have stayed before that one of the ladies that serves breakfast is grumpy. She didn't disappoint. Not rude just someone that doesn't enjoy her job. It was actually comical and I hope she's still there next time we stay. Don't stay expecting anything other than somewhere clean to stay and you won't go wrong. We will be back though!

Very misleading booking, thought we had booked on site, turns out we are at another hotel, for which we had to pay taxi fare to get there. Meals and events at one venue, bed at another, involved 3 taxis fares. Spoke to manager who was not interested, didn't like the way I spoke to him... so be warned, make sure your booking is not hotel village, it will cost you. Having said that I actually think we are better off, as hearing people here have no hot water!! Having had a lovely meal ( credit where credit is due), we could not get a seat close to stage as tickets sold to those who had not booked meal. Feeling ver short changed!!

We stayed here as part of their Christmas party night package. The cost of bed and breakfast along with dinner and entertainment is excellent however, the accommodation really let down what was a great evening in the Concorde Club. We were put on the ground floor in a strange corner which had a shared entrance with next door. As soon as we entered, we were met with a strange musty smell which was horrid and lingered through the whole stay. There were cobwebs in between the wardrobe and wall and the headboard fell off the wall when I tried to move the bed to investigate where the smell was coming from. We were told not to open the door when having a shower so I can only think that the damp environment is not helping. We thought the whole room was dingy and you needed to have lights on the whole time - our view was out onto the car park, which was fine but made it quite noisy in the morning. Breakfast was a short walk in the Mouldy Fig and was really delicious. We asked to have a large table as we were staying as a group but instead of happily agreeing with this, we were asked twice whether everybody would be coming to breakfast as they were fully booked and would be very busy! Not very welcoming! Interestingly, the restaurant remained half empty the whole time we were there. The hotel definitely needs a massive refurbishment as it is in a great location joined to the popular Concorde Club.
