Had a really enjoyable stay at The Port Hotel. The room was spacious, modern decor, and the bed was really comfortable. The view over the beach was worth the extra money! The staff were super friendly and accommodating. Breakfasts were tasty and there was a good range of choices. We didn’t have an evening meal there, but the cocktails are great! Lots of stairs, so not suitable for people with mobility issues.

We booked a meal in the restaurant to celebrate two family birthdays. The meal was average at best. When we got the bill and tried to pay in cash we were told it was card only and if we didn’t pay by card the police would be called. We suggested that they call the police as we would be interested to know their view on a customer attempting to pay the bill in legal currency. Eventually they accepted our money and signed the bill ‘paid in full’. Overpriced and not worth the money. Extremely limited menu and waiter constantly complaining about how busy they were. Customers at just four tables!

The customer service is non existent , if you should complain they say your being rude I’ve made a complaint and was told the director would call me that was 5 days ago still waiting on a call back I’ve noticed on the reviews that if you do complaint it’s never there fault . So if you book this hotel and something happens if you don’t give them 72 hour’s notice. You will lose £250 per night it’s outrageous

It was quite nice and very clean. The bed was comfortable, the shower was good. The double glazing kept the noise out but the heat in. The fridge was broken, the coffee machine leaked, the room was stuffy with no fan, someone was playing Alanis very loudly behind the room at midnight. So you know, three stars.

Had a wonderful two-night stay at The Port. The staff were fab - very helpful booking taxis and making restaurant recommendations. The rooms were pristine and comfortable, and the showers were hot and powerful with lovely shampoo and shower gel. Best of all was the food. The breakfast was AMAZING.

We had a very comfortable room with a fantastic sea view. Lovely food at breakfast and would really recommend the dinner, with great cocktails to start. Port feels stylish yet relaxed with very friendly helpful staff.

The hotel is beautiful and an issue we had was resolved swiftly with a very kind free upgrade which we very much appreciated. There was an issue with there being a shortage of food but not the staffs fault who were all very nice.
