The only hotel near oundle school

We had a lovely couple of nights stay at The Talbot Hotel for our 25th Wedding Anniversary last weekend. This hotel offers so much character in quaint surroundings with a warm welcome from the staff. Thank goodness the room was air conditioned due to the extreme hot weather, it was spotlessly clean, comfy bed, relaxing ambience sitting in the enclosed courtyard and gardens. I don’t know how the staff worked so hard in the heat still smiling and going above and beyond, they were all amazing. The food was delicious with a good variety of choice. Would highly recommend and we will be returning.

The hotel was lovely, comfortable bed, spacious room, well presented great choice of drinks, staff were great and when we had a problem with the car the next day went well above and beyond our expectations with helping us get it sorted

I was attending an event at the Victoria Hall around the corner so this was very convenient. They let me check in early and park my car, which was great. I enjoyed the breakfast too.

Very pleasant stop over. Excellent dinner. Beautiful market town.

Fanfastically atmospheric old coaching inn, in an equally fantastic old market town, which seems to be dominated by a public school which has seemingly bought up several of the town centre buildings to expand, and in doing so has created a hogwarts like atmosphere

Hotel, room and staff all very good. Disppointed by breakfast, it was obvious by the curled up edges that the contents of the full english was not cooked fresh. I would stay again though
