霍夫加登飯店(Hotel am Hofgarten)

Wegen der kurzfristigen Buchung zur Messezeit konnten wir nur noch wenig auswählen und so „mussten“ wir dieses Hotel buchen. Ein Dp Zi und zwei Ez Zi. für drei Nächte, wovon wir nur zwei genutzt haben , da der Streik der GDL uns zu früherer Abreise zwang. Am ersten Morgen gab es noch ein Frühstück, am zweiten nichts. Auch andere Gäste standen vor einem leeren Frühstücksraum und kein Mensch zu sehen. Zimmerkosten dieses Wucherers 3186,—€. Dz.370,-pro Nacht Ez.340,-. Die Nacht vom Samstag auf Sonntag war durch betrunkene Mitbewohner aus der nahen Altstadt ein Albtraum. Nie wieder dieses Hotel.

Het ontbijt was heel slecht. Bijna alles was op om 10.00 uur

Room was clean but very cold, also you can hear everything in the room next to you, even with the heating left on all day the tiny radiator did not heat the room at all so trying to sleep in the evening with a cold room was a struggle. No elevator in the building Cool thing about staying here they give you a free travel card for the length of your stay to use on all the bus/teams/trains in the area.

I am not pleased with my booking: 1. no elevator I had to carry my suitcase to the third floor and later on to the fourth because I had to change the room. The heat radiator broke 2. When I was checking out on Monday at 7 a.m. nobody was at the desk and no help with the suitcases. 3. They are appetizing breakfast fro Euro 12.00. No breakfast in reality has not been a coffee. 4. I checked in on Tuesday and booked by accident also Monday. I paid an extra $100 for Monday. On Sunday the manager told me I haven't booked the following Monday which was not true so I had to pay an extra 100 Euro. It turned out that he did a mistake. So he gave me back 100 Euro in cash, instead of reversing the booking. So the exchange fee of about $30 has been then on me. I would not recommend it and I am not returning back.

Onvriendelijk personeel en vuil interieur.. We hadden het hotel online geboekt; het zag er prima uit. De realiteit was helaas helemaal anders. Het vasttapijt op de trap was smoezelig en versleten, de kamer was .. beneden alles. Toen bleek dat er 's ochtends geen ontbijt mogelijk was - zelf geen koffie; een parking was er evenmin. Aangezien de receptie slechts enkele uren geopend was - en er de volgende dag zelfs niemand aan de receptie z aanwezig zou zijn (?!) diende er onmiddellijk betaald te worden, voor de geboekte 3 nachten.. we betaalden dus.. Maar omdat we erg teleurgesteld waren, en zeker niét wilden blijven vroegen we of er bvb 1 nacht in mindering kon gebracht worden; we waren net aangekomen; de kamer was ongebruikt, en kon immers direct worden verder verhuurd. Neen dus. Wat een afgang; zo'n gebrek aan service, klantvriendelijkheid.. pfff. absoluut te vermijden.

Kein Pool

If you are looking for a student dorm this is for you. Damp and old carpets, rooms felt outdated. Do not expect any service at reception until after 9am and for any emergency the telephones do not work. Do not be conned by the breakfast but then again if you are happy with a few hard croissants, cheap ham and boiled egg and dont mind paying 18euros for it then thats fine (even though they advertised it for 13.90euros on their website and in the hotel) Only thing good going for them is it’s nice to the train station.

This is a small and in my opinion cozy hotel. The location is excellent. I stayed four nights and slept very well. The bathroom was spacious and had a bathtub! My room was on the top floor, but there is no elevator. When I arrived at the hotel, there was a nice guy at the reception who told me the most important things. He was really friendly and helpful. He even offered me a ticket for public transport, but I had already bought the ticket.
