南碼頭旅館(South Pier Inn)

Outside of property was dated bad shape needs a ton of work parking lot was a war zone of potholes, fire pit was on top of the road facing the street rather than the view. Breakfast was a joke some homemade goods in ziplock bags worst continental breakfast I’ve ever had. Overall this was not a 350.00 a night hotel I will never stay again staff very dull and not very inviting and way over priced definitely check out the hikers just down the street everyone had good things to stay, south pier was below average and price was way to high for this place.

The bed was amazing, so very comfortable. The view of the lift bridge was spectacular. The road conditions around the property leading out were pretty sketchy, in the dark it felt like you were going to drive right into Lake Superior, fortunately/hopefully this is a work in progress

Nice bridge view, quiet and easy walk to canal park, boardwalk etc. Was a nice walk to Sir Benidicts with great food and music!

The stay was very nice. The front desk staff was very nice. The continental breakfast was very nice. There are a flag of Finland and a flag of Poland hanging outside. I was told that the owners are from those countries. Very cool.

Front desk staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Easy walk over the lift bridge to many dining options and nice cocktail spots.

Very nice location, neat quaint rooms with sitting spaces too. Good views . Private entrances, ample parking, walking distance to restaurants . Nice free breakfast in morning.

This is a true gem. I would have given it 4 stars but after meeting the owners, a wonderful long time couple of Duluth, that solidified our 5 star rating. The inn is in an excellent location on the edge of the Lift Bridge and daily we could see ships going through the bridge, a wonderful delight. The only suggestion for the owners is to add some more shelves/ drawers for clothing for those of us staying over 2 or 3 days. We had a delightful stay, good value, and would love to come back!

It is very evident that whom ever owns or manages this Motel cares deeply about their guest's experience during the stay. A lot of detail things in the room and on the property added to the enjoyment of our stay. Easily the best place i've stayed in Canal Park.

I had a really nice quiet stay, was able to sleep really well. The doughnuts for breakfast are fantastic.
