The Ashley Hotel in Dublin has considerably declined in appearance and cleanliness since I last stayed four years ago. And my room had noticeable signs on the carpet that it had not been vacuumed. As well, there was hair left in the bathtub which indicated it had not been cleaned.
The breakfast is quite overpriced for the value, and this needs to be brought in line, and as it gives one the impression they are gouging their guests.
Nice hotel. Everything top notch except for food service staff. Bar staff annoyed when ordering anything. Breakfast room service ordered, but not delivered. Kitchen said no order was placed, but front desk had a charge for it that they did remove when asked. Stilll, nice rooms, big bathroom, very clean, wonderful doorman. Easy to get to.

Our stay would've been perfect save for an incident involving the a hotel personnel named Jennifer. After inquiring about being asked everyday for breakfast that we have already paid she responded in a belligerent manner with a loud voice. when asked to tone it done she responded that it was her normal tone, it must have been 80-90 decibels and made no apologies. However, in a discussion with another manager named Brandon , he not only explained the issue and apologized for the incident. Perhaps the hotel should take time to train on professional behavior. We did have good experience with other staff members from the doorman to the lady at the breakfast reception and servers including the restaurant when we had dinner. kudos to other personnel who exerted effort on trying to make our stay almost perfect
