萊文山喬伊旅舍(Leevin Hostel Mountjoy)

Yo, about the place – you've got city buses from the airport to the hostel and back to the city centre. The hostel vibes in a cool church building, and bonus, there's a café inside – major lifesaver! The 4-person room was decent, clean, and gave off private vibes. Loved that they split the ladies' and dudes' rooms – felt secure, you know? But let's talk about the showers – major letdown. Curtains and zero control over the temperature. Too hot and not cool. Bathrooms were alright, but morning cleanup? Seriously, that's when everyone needs it most! Despite the shower drama, everything else was solid. I'd say give it a shot! 🌟 On the flip side, those showers though – curtains, low water pressure, and zero temp control. Not a fan.

Upon arriving at the hostel, my initial optimism quickly turned to disappoin**ent as I encountered a significant issue with the bathroom facilities. Despite the receptionist's assurance of functional bathrooms on our floor, all were closed upon reaching, and another guest complained about a persistent water shortage since the night before. Addressing the matter with the reception only led to redirection to an alternative bathroom, which, to my dismay, had water only in the sink. This left me without access to a clean toilet or a functioning shower, proving both inconvenient and incredibly frustrating, especially after a long journey. My overall experience at Leevin Hostel fell short of expectations, and I hope improvements are made to prevent similar inconveniences for future TripAdvisor travelers.

We booked a room for two and found out the room is on Male floor and my partner needs to go upstairs for bathroom. Then they give only cold shower in Ireland in September! People complained to the front desk but they don’t help. Our room was next to man’s bathroom and we heard noisy sound of hand dryer all night long. We were supposed to stay three nights but next morning we cancelled the rest of two days and ask them refund. Of course they could tell me 100 reasons not to pay back. If you are a backpacker couple and don’t mind, you could find better room. We were disguised by fancy pics they post on ***********. We checked in late and could not buy a water on the premises or nearby. Staying here will ruin your wonderful trip.

A disgusting experience. Men’s bathrooms were closed for 2 hrs at 9am. No toilets or showers. I saw three times the front door open with nobody on reception. Anybody could walk in and the neighbourhood feels unsafe. Doors in the room were banging so loudly you can’t sleep. Lots of long-term guests in same room as travelers creating a very weird vibe. Overall, horrible. But worst was the attitude of the staff and management. Completely don’t care about you or your trip. It was upsetting and badly affected my trip to Dublin. Awful. Don’t stay here.

Leevin is a actually a really nice and kind of charming hostel with nice indoor facilities. But it's completely irresponsible to have all room radiators to lvl max whilst having open windows 24/7 in a time where we should all be doing everything we can to counteract global warming :( I'm sorry if this critique seems kind of lame, but I would have expected all companies, house holds, and what not to have taken such basic steps to cut their energy consumption. We need to act smarter with our limited Earth ressources.

This is the Dublin YHA re-opened / re-modelled. But no longer a YHA. It is still the same as previously - but with just a few changes. Unfortunately, no free parking out the back anymore. However the kitchen is a greatly improved layout ! There is an on-site (paid) cafe for breakfast .... I didn't try it out. Check in was a bit weird ..... handed a beeper and told to wait ..... it was about a half an hour wait ....
